Throughout June & July in 2010 I spent many nights watching the word cup from different spots around Europe: Cafes, Bars & Parks though mostly in bars I must say. The beer in Europe is pretty good. None of these places however, compared to Plaza de Espana in Barcelona. Mainly because it was the Final of the FIFA World Cup and Spain had never made it this far through the tournament before. The atmosphere was amazing, on par with any stadium you have ever been too.
It was in extra time that Andres Iniesta scored what would be the decisive goal! It. Was. Mayhem. There were cheers louder than a rock concert, flairs were lit, songs were sung and smiles were big. Come full time, The whole city was going crazy!
Tonight FRANCE 🇫🇷 will play CROATIA 🇭🇷 in the 2018 final. Who just like Spain are also playing in their first ever FIFA World Cup Final. Maybe they can win it too? Only time will tell and I sure wish I was in Croatia if they do!
Who do you think will win? Let me know in the comments. You can read the full post on my blog > link in Bio.
