Do you prep lunch boxes to take to work? 🥙 ▪️▪️▪️ Pulses + plants 🌱 are an easy way to get a super cheap, super balanced meal... & they’re really filling. I always make this for dinner and take leftovers for lunch! Tinned tomatoes and things like kidney beans, chickpeas etc are my kitchen cupboard staples, especially on busy week days, and there’s always enough left for a lunchbox too ☺️ It’s so easy - warm your tomatoes on the hob and add salt, pepper and spices to taste (I love a tsp of turmeric and a LOT of black pepper!) then add in your veggies (kale, spinach & sweetcorn need barely any time for example, courgette needs a bit more, carrot needs lots more! It’s great to use up whatever’s in your fridge, just time accordingly!) then when they’re almost done add your pulses of choice! It’s a 1 pan meal. And I promise it’s cheap: ~tin chickpeas circa 60p ~tin of organic chopped tomatoes 90p ~carrots and kale £1.50 max MAKES APPROX 3 MEALS’ WORTH which is £1 a meal, or if 2 portions worth - £1.50 per meal! Help! My heart rate keeps hitting 195/200 during my runs and I don’t know how to keep it down 😫 I’m lucky if I can keep it constantly under 190 during a 10 min mile pace 😒 Now with all that being said... I believe this picture perfectly embodies how I feel after every run 😅 A whole bunch of ‘I’m ok’ ‘Am I ok?’ It’s so annoying! But I REFUSE to stop! Dad says I need to breathe more... Maybe true... Happy to say that while I was sort of afraid to run a further distance tonight, we ran 5 miles & our pace average was 10:04! Not bad for 5 mins on, 1 min slow pace! I just so wish I could stop my heart from going mental. Very open to suggestions!! - Now it’s time to ice the leg and have some tasty cinnamon apples 😍 it’s my current late night snack 🙌🏽 super simple. Boil water. Toss in apples. Let them simmer with some cinnamon until water evaporates and enjoy with some almond milk or yogurt on top 😋 - Night loves x

Yesterday my body just needed a rest day, my muscles were so sore I couldn’t imagine going to the gym and that’s ok, we need to know that we can’t be 100% all the time and we sometimes don’t eat as well as we should but hey we are all human and beating yourself up about it won’t help at all, how you speak to yourself is so important, this is something I have so much trouble with, but I wake up everyday and try again, Happy Thursday and remember you can do this💪🏻💚

For the past three weeks I’ve been following a new workout out regimen through an app called @sweat I love trainer-lead workout classes but with a toddler at home my time is limited. FOOD DIARY😋😋😋 • Didn’t realize how many pieces of toast I ate yesterday until I made this collage. I love me some toast what can I say? 😂 Fueled up with a little more than I typically eat (which is OK! Some days you are just hungrier than others!) After putting everything into MyFitnessPal it came out to 2,157 calories 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼 • M1:Protein Green Smoothie S1: 2 slices of 12 grain bread, 1 hard boiled egg, 1 apple & 1 tbsp natural pb (buy jars that say ONLY peanuts!) M2: Chicken thighs, spiralized peppers & onions, red pepper quinoa & brown rice mix & 2 cuties S2: Carrots, grape tomatoes, cucumber & RX Bar M3: 2 slices of 12 grain bread. One topped with avo & sliced turkey, the other with banana, cinnamon & almond butter (buy jars that say ONLY almonds!) 🤗 🤗 • I try to listen to my bodies natural hunger cues but it can be hard when I’m at work all day and have to pack food. I usually stick to pretty similar eating times but it just happens to be when I’m hungry 🤷🏻‍♀️ It’s all about listening to your body and I think I’ve gotten fairly good at it 😃👍🏼 • 10 minute treadmill warm up, BBG Stronger Superset Leg Challenge, played around with the pull up machine & different variations, 3 sets of various lat pull down & finished with another 10 minutes of HIIT! Whether your goal is to improve your body composition or build your strength, sleep is essential. You can have the best training program, be nailing your nutrition, but if you are not getting enough good quality sleep, your results may not reflect your efforts. . . Sleep chemically rebalances your brain, controls your appetite hormones and has a direct effect on your metabolic rate. It is your body's time to rest and recover. . . Sleepless nights or frequent waking during the night can lead to increased appetite due to the disruption to your hunger hormones, changes to mood and inconsistent energy levels. . . I believe sleep quality is of upmost importance if you are looking to make progress in the gym and increase productivity during your day. ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖ Here are my 8️⃣ top tips to improve the quality of your sleep: ⭐️ Go to bed at a similar time each night and wake a similar time in the morning ⭐️ Limit the amount of light in your room ⭐️ Avoid electrical devices 2 hours before bed ⭐️ What you eat can affect how well you sleep. Avoid heavy meals or overeating at night. Avoid stimulating foods late in your day/evening (such as caffeine, sugar, too many natural sweeteners). ⭐️ Certain foods can actually promote sleep. Foods rich in tryptophan such as turkey, salmon, chicken, eggs, seeds, beef and lamb to name a few promote good sleep. ⭐️ Complex whole-food carbohydrates may also help you to sleep when consumed later in the day (such as sweet potato/ roasted root veggies or quinoa and buckwheat). Suspension pistol squat is a single leg exercise that is quite hard. Working with a single leg can help to improve your stabilizing muscles which support your spine, reducing back pain and aiding poor posture. Using the suspension trainer you can adjust the weight on your single leg a bit. Take both handles in your hands facing the anchor point. Take one leg straight in front of you. Bend the supporting leg and sink down into a low squat, keeping your heel firmly on the floor. Then lift yourself up again from the heel. ⏩Progress; lean forward a bit more than I do and try to reduse the use of the straps by adding more weight on the leg -or add a jump:) ⏪Regress; put a bench behind you to make sure you dont lower further than you can manage. ➡️want the short leggings with phone pocket I’m using? I have been trying to eat more protein these last two weeks because I realized i wasn’t eating enough for the amount I was exercising and I started getting tired really quickly and staying tired for a long time, since i have added more protein I am feeling so much better and my energy levels are back to normal, also because I have been taking @biogensa vitamin B supplements💪🏻💚

NEW FAVE CLASS...😱😱😱 ▪️▪️▪️ Crazy eyes 👀 and ALL THE SWEAT after being killed by @pageboxing 😂 my legs were literally screaming during that workout! I have definitely been guilty in the past of trying to dodge the stuff I find hardest or that’s most painful (!) so it’s amazinggggg to be pushed and feel like you’re making progress (despite the jelly legs at the end!) 2005 vs 2018. 13 Years. Father Daughter Dance vs 'Dad will you recreate a picture with me for IG’ Yes, this is the relationship I have with my dad. I was honestly quite surprised by how fast he got out of the chair when I asked him to take this picture. I was going thru my old clothes in my closet and came across the dress and just knew it was time for a little #transformationtuesday action of a whole new level. - LEFT: 7th Grade. Brace-faced. Doesn’t wear make up. Socially awkward. No clue how to date, so she just becomes best friends with her crush. Grade-grubbing. Dying in English class to get a good grade cause it’s her worst subject. Weight 168. RIGHT: Age 27. Smiling Hard. Sorta knows how to wear makeup. Still socially awkward. Still no clue how to date, but goes on a lot of 1st dates. Still sorta grade-grubbing (work edition). Master’s degree in Writing (Yeah, I don’t know how to pursue easy). Weight #iweigh - The difference in life between these two pictures is insane.  The amount of stuff that has changed is insane.  The girls would barely recognize each other.  Especially since running a mile to me on the left was as horrible as the potential of getting expelled (HP reference). - Some transformations are big. Some are small. I’m lately been thinking about the bigger time gaps of how I changed because sometimes if you focus on what you did today vs tomorrow you can get discouraged. Nothing happens over night. Everything takes time. So, to my younger self. The 14 year old girl in this photo. I hope you know you’ll be okay. I hope you know your future is bright. Life will throw some curveballs. Life will change. But know one thing. That dude next to you is a life saver and he will listen to you everyday for an hour when your 27 and need someone to talk too… True story lol

Sore muscles are the best feeling ever, I am walking super funny at the moment bit I know I had a great leg day on Monday because I can definitely feel the exercises are working, before starting #bbg I never got sore muscles and sometimes I wondered if i even did the exercises correctly, today is arm & ab day💪🏻💚

When I tell you I was exhausted 💤 today, that may be an understatement. I could have fallen asleep standing up and even my husband asked me if I was ok when he walked through the door. 🙈 . I decided to go to the gym anyways. I laced up my sneakers 👟 grabbed my keys 🔑 and hit the gym. I may have been a little slower but I had a killer workout 💥. And I left the gym with tons of energy 💃🏼. I mean seriously how awesome is that?! . I want each of you to know that you can do it! Even after a long day, you still have more to give. Take a few mins for yourself. It doesn’t have to be long, you can cut your workout in half but I bet you end up finishing it. 💪 . That feeling after a workout is priceless 🌟 and you will never regret adding more activity into your day. . Push those excuses aside and put yourself first. Remember a 30 min workout is ONLY 2% of your day. #doitforyou #metime #sweat #adrenaline #healthyaddiction
