I remember, back when I was still in school, laughing about the idea of ever practising yoga. I mean yoga 🙄 that’s for old ladies, I thought. Obviously I had a completely wrong understanding of it.
Now I’m proud that I can say -practising yoga made me a better person. I feel calm, centred and realise the world is not against me. 🧘🏼♀️ After every session, I leave the room and everything is a little more intense, colours brighter and my head feels cleaner.
Yoga requires so much control, awareness and strength. I am convinced, one will never fully understand the power of yoga until they’ve tried it with an open mind and honest attempt. 🌱🍃💚
I learned this one last week and I am so fascinated by this movement. Lowering the body and shifting from a flat foot onto the toes and keeping the balance. And then reverse. Directing all attention into ones muscles and feel the legs working, the feet, the core, glutes... being aware of just everything. 🧘🏼♀️
