Todays post is a bit of real talk- I want to try and be as real with you guys on this account as possible. I may look like I have it all together, but I too still have my moments where I struggle.
Lately I have been experiencing mild symptoms of anxiety. Mainly because of various uncertainties of the year, lack of sleep and also just because I have been abnormally busy and have had very little time to myself where I can centre my thoughts.
Yesterday morning during my workout I experienced anxiety for no reason whatsoever. I felt as if I could not complete my workout and felt that my breathing was heavy. I even stopped the timer and started to walk out the gym. As I was walking out I thought to myself... “how many times have you thought you could not complete something but still pushed through” It was at this moment where I had a revelation. Only you can make decisions and take control of your thoughts and life.
I turned around and continued my workout ignoring that anxious voice that attempted to derail me.
Before I knew it I was done with the workout and all anxiety had subsided.
If you are someone who struggles with anxiety, you are not alone. It’s something that you can’t quiet explain and comes out of no-where. It’s okay, I get you. I can relate.
What matters most is addressing the situation, and believing in yourself. You have to listen to that little voice and be your own cheerleader 📣 if this is not possible, I find speaking to someone or rationalizing your thoughts to another person always helps 🌟
You are in charge of your thoughts, don’t let them control you 💫
