BROCCOLI AND CAULIFLOWER FRITTERS. Here it is, my broccoli and cauliflower fritters. Super easy and delicious. Have with a  homemade chutney or with guac as I did. 🌿1 head of broccoli. 🌿½ head of cauliflower. 🌿1 cup gluten free flour. 🌿3 eggs. 🌿3 garlic cloves. 🌿1 tablespoon baking powder. 🌿Seasonings to taste – paprika, cumin and garlic powder. 🌿Salt and Pepper Blend your cauliflower, broccoli and garlic cloves in a food processor until finely chopped Transfer to a bowl and add eggs, flour, baking powder and seasoning Cook patties in olive oil until crispy. I added to the oven for an extra 10 mins until firm. That’s it! - Enjoy

I wore leggings for years ... not realizing how much weight I was actually gaining since leggings are pretty forgiving . I did notice I had to keep buying larger shirts .... I also noticed I don’t have many full body pictures due to my many insecurities as the weight was packing on.. it’s been a huge learning curve the past 6 months with cleaning up my diet and learning the right forms when working out.. I’m getting there ... still learning ...still injuring myself occasionally when doing an exercise incorrectly.. slowly but surely .. some days it’s soooooo hard to push myself to NOT eat that or to wake up at 4am to knock out this workout... Real life. Real talk. Accountability. . The past 3 weeks have been so tough, workout wise for me. Between being out of town and trying to get back into a routine, it’s been hard and inconsistent. . Life is full of peaks and valleys and the same goes for working out. I’m not as toned as I was, my eating hasn’t been as good, and when I have worked out, they haven’t all been great. I could pick this picture apart. And my old mindset would. But I’m choosing to change my thinking and give myself grace and take it day by day. Focusing on the wins I am having. An all or nothing approach that'll lead to failure. . Instead of chasing instant satisfaction, we choose to focus on daily behavioural goals that will lead to the desired outcome. . In today's day and age, everything is instant and we're used to getting everything easily and whenever we want it. That's unfortunately not how the body works. . If you want long term results that last, you need to bunker down, get focused and you need to follow your plan. The great thing about the gym is that it's the one thing that will reward you for consistency. Put in the work, and the results will come. . You're not going to wake up tomorrow with your dream body. 20 lbs of fat loss or 5-7 lbs of muscle gain doesn't just happen. It's a process, a journey. . Focus on the exciting parts of the journey. Did you do your workout today? Yes? EXCITING! . Did you get 8 hours of sleep last night? Yes? EXCITING! . Did you take your post-workout shake after your workout? Yes? EXCITING! . I’ve been a little MIA on here bc the hustle is real and lots going on, I can’t even keep up 🤪 But wanted to take a minute to share a 20 month #transformation post of Ash and I. It is something we are so very passionate about and want to continue to share with you! It’s so much more than just a picture of change. It’s the mental side that you cannot see! … Our account is all about finding that balance between being a mom and caring for everyone else but somehow finding the time for ourselves through health and fitness. Over the past year and a half Ash and I have learned how important it is to find just 30 minutes a day for us. We strive daily to find a small window to focus on us and in return, the development we have gained has been unreal!! 🙌 … Being a mom can be one of the most rewarding things but also the most exhausting. It’s so easy to get caught up in the day to day hustle and think you don’t have time for a workout. Or, it’s selfish to take the time when there is laundry to do, rooms to clean, kids to pick up, play dates to be had, work meetings...the list can literally go on and on. But the cool thing that Ash and I have found is that 30 minutes a day is a huge stress reliever, makes a positive impact on the body, keeps you focused, provides mental strength, sets a good example for your kids...the list goes on and on. … With just 30 minutes a day of exercise, Ash and I have grown in our health and our fitness journey and continue to grow daily. Over the last 20 months, we’ve also cared for ourselves by finding ways to switch to clean foods and products. This quote is the truest thing I’ve ever read. Around this time three years ago - I lost my scholarship. Due to my mental illness, I could no longer handle college sports so it was pulled. and suddenly I had to grow up. I went from being depressed I lost my dad to being depressed I lost my dad and could no longer afford to live in my apartment or do things I needed to do. I searched out job after job. Interview after interview - but everyone said the same thing “sorry kid, your experience just isn’t there.” Being a college athlete, I hadn’t had time to have a job in college. Softball WAS my job. But now I was stuck in a cycle of wondering where my next meal was going to come from. I was terrified. I finally got a coaching job. Which covered my living expenses and some ramen noodles. I scraped by. Worked side jobs. Pushed through. It’s been three years now. I have my dream job. I pay my bills ahead of time, enjoy fun vacations, and my food budget is no longer ramen noodles. And you guys, I’m happy. Three years ago, I wasn’t really sure where I was going to end up. I didn’t see the light at the end of the tunnel. I didn’t think it was going to get better. Life was so so dark. My depression was heavy, my anxiety constant, and I really just couldn’t find the point. But it did get better. I found the light. I pushed through. I was humbled constantly. I learned lesson after lesson. But most of all - I came out on top. If you’re struggling, I want you to know I love you. I know it is so hard. I know it feels like this period will never end. I know getting out of bed takes all your energy. I know you’re nervous about your bills, where your next meal will come from. I know. But keep fighting. Work hard. And most of all - stay kind. Better days are coming and you need to be alive to see them ❤️

The best part about this program- 3 days to stretch. Or to rest. Or to work your old favorite programs. But 3 days a week I’m SUPPOSE to rest and stretch. Not only is that amazing for my busy nursing school schedule, but it’s great for the old dancer inside of me 💃🏻 Something many of you probably don’t know is that I danced up until I left for college. I loved it. I felt home in a studio. Trust me I was never going pro with it 😂, but my adult ballet class gave me so much joy. I can’t wait to get back to that some day soon! But lemme tell ya about the lack of flexibility I have after stopping dance 😂. I’m glad everyone workout ends with a stretch, but I’m someone who could stretch for an hour. So when foam rolling was introduced into my life everything changed 😂. I had never felt such pain, good pain! It helps relax my muscles and work out kinks. So today’s question- do you foam roll?!

For my own sanity & health I couldn't have or didn't want to *Eat less calories (which at this point to stay that lean I'd have had to) *I didnt want to lose more time by doing more in the gym. *I didnt want to lose more strength & muscle. *I didn't wana lose focus on other areas of my life Just so there could be less of me.🤔 What if you started adding things IN to your life rather than taking them away. *Add more calories so you have energy to do more? *Add more weight to the bar so u build more muscle. *Add more structure to your program so u actually spend less time in the gym. *Add more focus to other things in your life cos u are spending less time in the gym. *Add more carbs cos u use them efficiently in the gym. *Add more glute training & shoulder width so your waist looks the same (roughly) as when it was smaller (which was hard to sustain for more than a day) *Add more water, more steps, more general activity. *Add more fun & love. *Add more fat so your horemones do the job & u have a period. There is so much u can ADD to this lifestyle to make it work for u, & enable progress. People say "ah well ur a trainer, it's ur life u spend all is time in gym & being strict. He'll no H20! You don't need to do as much as u think, jus different to what u assume. Left V Right 140g carbs V 240g carbs 50kg deadlift V 90kg deadlift 7kg fat V (dunno,12kg fat?) 3hrs 6 days in gym V 45mins 4days 1400cals V 2100cals bum 33.5 V 38.5inch hiit/stair cardio V steps The way we perceive our journey, by focusing on always trying to be less, always trying to take away... it gets draining & it stalls progress. Theres only so little cals n only so much exercise u can do? Where do you go from There? Eat, train smart, grow, love & nourish. This lifestyle should add & enhance your life,not take away from it!

January 2016 —> this morning. I did @kayla_itsines BBG program on the Sweat app for the first 1.5 years (now I do a mix of BBG and weight training) and cleaned up my diet. I didn’t follow the meal plan but I did use some of the recipes and set up my meals the same way.

Did a BBG exercise today to try and kickstart me working out again! 💪🏻 and.... WOW are they tiring 😳😂 definitely prefer weight training, but these exercises are always the push i need to start working out! 😋 so hopefully they do what I hope and I’ll be weight training regularly again I’m no time 😊🌞❤️
