Dear everyone, I've decided that it's finally time to do this—I feel like I need to do it now, more than ever.
I've finally decided to do an Instagram detox for a week. Okay, so: It's such a hard decision to make when your business is so rooted in social media. But - this is not a business decision; it's a personal one.
I *need* to take the rest of the week to reflect, resharpen my focus, reconnect with myself. ❤️ My birthday is coming up in a few days, and I want to feel grounded & centered when I reach that milestone. 🙏🏾
Because as much as I have been enjoying my butt off sharing stories with you guys on this platform (and have been getting amazing feedback & responses from so many people!)... Lately, I've been feeling very overwhelmed by everything (and perhaps overstimulated). I've been having trouble focusing on what's most important to me, and getting so distracted by the shiny pennies scattered all around the 'gram. The comparison monster had also started rearing its ugly head, should I be doing this? Should I have accomplished more? Should I be more _____? You know the drill. 🙊
It just so happened that I needed to send my phone to the Huawei service center (yay!), and so I thought - perfect timing! This'll be the perfect time to detach myself from Instagram & from my screen as a whole. ⭐️
I'm planning to spend the next week doing more of the following:
- Being hyperfocused on work
- Being present in the moment
- Working on my fitness goals (I promise to stay committed, with or without the 'gram!) 😝
