Don’t mind me just searching for my tan 🙄 . So after a bit of an interesting start to this holiday finally made it out today and catching some rays at coral bay 🦑 sun, sea, sand and rain 😂🙈 yes it has rained here in sunny Cyprus 😂 . Earlier today I knew I had a workout - finished work/picked up kids/got home- didnt want to workout - decided not too - mental note clicked and I had a minute with nothing too do as kids were distracted - started my workout - 10 pushups in and kids interrupted *now this is the point where I would normally go okay yep it's just not happening today* today I was interrupted 3 times but I did not give up and unlike everyother time I have done a bbg workout in the past I skipped out or didnt put effort in cause it hurt. Well I pushed through and I'm actually impressed with how well I did and pushed myself. Now to make sure I do the same with the next workout. Better late then never right? Finally completed #bbgweek2 full body workout. I took this weekend off from pretty much everything: eating good, working out, and running. My body needed a rest and I felt so much better today. Made it through one and a half rounds of each circuit for today's workout and I've never been able to do that before. . Back and ready to start BBG Week 1 after spending a week in beautiful Alaska! During the trip I was able to workout and finish bbg pretraining week 4! I took the last two weeks off. I caught some kind of virus that morphed into a sinus infection. The coughing was horrible and I needed that to clear before I started working out again. I’ve decided to do a hard reset of the program. I’m not going to lie, getting myself to be motivated to restart was really hard. It was so disappointing to get sick and fall behind on the great progress and the start of forming healthy habits. Yesterday I completed my first abs and arms workout it so long and now I’m so sore! 😩 It’s worth it though. I can’t say working on my arms is my favourite workout, mostly because if you feel weak in your arms, making them stronger is so damn hard but I’m looking forward to building them up to what they were before. __________ Lately I haven’t been making the best food choices and it honestly just makes me feel bad about myself and I can see it putting on fat, not weight, fat. And really the snacks I’m eating are not unhealthy but rather the amount I’m consuming of them, I’m struggling with moderation. I’m trying to make an effort to getting on the right path again with my eating. I need to start identifying why I’m snacking and if it’s not because I’m hungry then I shouldn’t eat it. Crazy hair, stunned face..... that will be my first day back at bbg in the bag!! 🤣 . Week 1 legs and cardio done. I was at my gran's today then made up a bacon burger recipe for dinner that my hubby said was the best burger he's ever had (he's had a lot of burgers!) and got little lady down by 8pm. Chocolate Cherry Banana Muffins! 🍒🍫😍 Monday’s are always made better when there are muffins for breakfast! 🍒🍫🍌 These are vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free, and have no refined sugar! 👏🏼 The best part is that you just toss all the ingredients in your blender! 👏🏼😊 I also added a scoop of @thenaturalcitizen organic plant-based protein 💪🏼🌱😁 These muffins are great for breakfast, since they are mostly oats and fruit! 👏🏼👏🏼 👉🏼 Blend 3 very ripe bananas, two flax eggs (or two regular eggs for non-vegan option), 1/3 cup @sanas.kitchen organic Datini spread (or any nut or seed butter), 1 cup of oat flour (I throw rolled oats in my @blendtec blender to make oat flour), 1 scoop @thenaturalcitizen organic plant-based protein (or your favorite plant-based protein), 3 tbsp @malkorganics almond milk, 1 1/2 tbsp baking powder, 2 tsp @sunfood chia seeds, 1 tsp vanilla, and 1/4 tsp salt. Blend until smooth. Stir in about 1/2 cup of dairy free dark chocolate chips, and 1/2 cup pitted cherries. Pour batter into a greased or lined muffin pan. These past couple of days have been very stressful. Between getting something that was weighing me down off my chest. Getting in a wreck and having my whip lash/extreme migraines flare back up. And not knowing if I want to stick with my major anymore. It’s been a whirl wind of emotions. I’ve spent a lot of this weekend curled up thinking, crying, eating chocolate, and meditating on what I should do. The meditation has helped with the headaches and the sore spine but my mind is still going crazy over what I should do about my major. I have two weeks to decide if I want to continue down this track that will lead to my dream job or go with something that would allow my to freely understand what’s going on and not have panic attacks 2-3x a week. It’s a hard decision because in the end I would love to be a physical therapist but at the same time my health is my number one priority and if panic attacks is the road to that job I don’t know if I can say I want that for the next 6-7 years. But I’m keeping my chin up because I can finally say my heart isn’t heavy anymore and I fully feel like myself again.. Sitting down and talking about the one thing that pushed me so far away from my self, was something I really needed to do. Even though I had already moved on from the incident it was nice to get to face it head on and truly acknowledge what it put me through and who I am now because of it, and talking about it with someone who saw it take control of me and saw the damage it had on not only me but my relationships, was a huge step in moving forward. So to that person I spoke with ..... thank you. thank you for listening to me and for trying to understand something I had trouble talking about, oh and thank you for not flipping shit on me that was really appreciative. You know who you are and I’m forever grateful ❤️🙏🏽

Woohoo for today.. cause I started BBG again! Let's hope it sticks! Going off today's efforts I think after two months of 80% clean eating the physical side of things is ready to be entered. Mentally I do think I'm finally there! I managed to complete nearly two rounds of each circuit leaving out one lot of jump squats and X jumps just during to the fact my legs had simply stopped working and I nearly fell over a few times due to jelly legs. Think I need to eat something before i workout. Also I started my workout in my jumper and my trackies cause the thought of taking them off in this weather was just simply too much! Proud to say i have #completed the first week of sweat with kayla's #BBG Begginer! ✔✔ - I stuck to my own meal plan, stuck to all of kaylas #workouts, learned new #recipes and got great ideas from kaylas plan. 😊 had a few treat but i mean tiny. A healthy lifestyle does not mean cutting out your favourite foods! One of the most common misconceptions when making changes to your lifestyle is that you will have to give up all your favourite foods This couldn’t be further from the truth. One of the biggest changes i made eating foods that made me FEEL good, and that didn’t bloat me. This obviously includes lots of vegetables, complex carbs and proteins. I find this is not only good for my body as it is micronutrient dense, but also helps energise me . However, i also still eat some of my old favourites that i love and probably always will. I’m a total gelato kinda girl and love any form of ice cream. Do i cut out ice cream from my diet? No ways! i still enjoy a good gelato or ice cream atleast twice a week ( because i frikking love it). Although it is slightly less micronutrient dense compared to my other meals that i have a day, i love the taste and thoroughly enjoy every bite. This in itself is a reason to enjoy it, because just like eating all my other meals, it makes me feel good . How many of you think that ‘ill never be able to have abs because i like ice cream too much’ Its not about making extreme drastic changes, but rather about making small and consistent changes. Like swapping out cool drink for water, swapping out your afternoon salticrax and cream cheese for wholegrain crackers and cottage cheese, or in my case- buying magnum minis instead of the full sized magnums. Small changes can honestly make the biggest difference and are far more sustainable than cutting out and restriction . So now more importantly: what’s your favorite ice cream flavor ? 🍦
