This week I spent 2 days in Melbourne. When I’m day in day out on the farm, I often miss city ‘things’. I am a sydney city girl born and bred, only moving to farm life 4 years ago. This week I realized I’m no longer a city girl. The pace and people in the city shocked all my senses (also Xmas craziness in lunch hour). It’s full of culture and great cruises.... but I found myself seeking out parks and trees to be able to release my toddler from her pram and to let her run free. It’s funny to say that surrounded by all those people I found myself lonely, unknown and unseen... where on the farm when I truly am alone, I feel connected to everything around me, nature. I missed the small community surrounding me. I have now had my Asian food fix and am full to the brim with good sushi, and feeling happy that I’ve found my place to call home.
