Foreword: IPA's during the day? why not on a windy Saturday afternoon! I was actually going to my local Bottle shop to buy Hop Nations Jedi juice for a friend to try when i saw this sitting right next to it. Instantly i was drawn to the can art and already a huge fan of the blood moon history and lore, it was an easy decision for me to grab this for a review!
Purchased: The Bottle-O, Lambton, NSW @bottleolambton
Name: Blood Moon IPA
Brewery: Murray's Brewery, NSW Australia 🇦🇺 @murraysbrewing
ABV: 5.5% 📊
Glass: Spiegelau IPA glass
Pours: Dark copper with a very slight reddish tinge
Nose: Citrusy and floral aroma
Taste: Fruity orange taste with a prominent malt character, grapefruit aftertaste that resonates.
Notes: I'm always very skeptical when trying fruit style beers, part of the reason is the overtone of the fruits making the beer too overpowering to enjoy but Murray's have made themselves a great IPA. This one is very much worth a try if you visit or see it at your local!
Benny's Score: 4.25 /5
