( 10 turns both directions )๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿผ . . Extended arm๐Ÿ‘‰๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ‘‰๐Ÿผ . โ€” extend your arm with your palm facing up โ€” with your free hand , gently press your fingers toward the floor โ€” switch and point your hand towards the ground and do the same. ( 4x each direction and hand ) . . Forearm and wrist pulse ๐Ÿ‘‰๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ‘‰๐Ÿผ . . โ€” start in a kneeling position โ€” face hands toward your body โ€” arms straight โ€” lean back then release. Chin rest with block:: (3: 20 second holds ) . 2. Hips over knee โ€” place block under your chinโ€” lift one arm at a time - think about sinking your chest to the ground โ€” and if you want intertwine your hands. (This is just an option. ) โœจโœจ . Chaturanga/ plank holds:: (4 reps = 80 second total) . 3. Start in plank โ€” lower down to chaturanga and hold for 10 seconds (arms stay close to the ribs and elbows point back) โ€” push up to plank (shoulders stack over wrist) and hold for 10 seconds. you can rest in between if needed but donโ€™t rest too long. ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿผ . Iโ€™ve regressed in my backbends after taking a few weeks off to heal a low back issue, so this challenge came at the perfect time for me. This backbend is my first in 4 weeks, and after a thorough warmup it still felt hard (and my left quad cramped up which you can see in the video). #BendForTheLoveOfIt . This is the backbend from yesterdayโ€™s practice. My hands are cut from the photo ๐Ÿ˜ฌ. In Sundayโ€™s practice my teacher encouraged me to widen my arms laterally out from my shoulders until I gain more shoulder flexibility. Few years ago small wrist injury lead to a big health issue and put me out of normally using my right hand for many months and over a year without being able to use it in sports/training. Since then I really concentrated on not only wrist rehabilitation but also improving mobility and strength of my wrists. It's unbelievable what can be done with commitment and practice.
