I would rather own a little and see the world, than own the world and see a little of it. —Alexander Sattler
I’m currently spending my week and a half break from school exploring Costa Rica. The last few days were spent relaxing in the mountains, coffee tasting (and education), exploring waterfalls, listening to the calls of howler monkeys and every bird imaginable, chasing glow bugs and giant toads, and hanging out beneath the stars. Today we moved on to La Fortuna — far more touristy but also much closer to so many incredible adventure opportunities. Volcano climbing, more waterfalls, cloud forests, nocturnal animals, chocolate, and so much more. When the weekend arrives, it will take us out to the coast for beach life and even more sun and adventures.
This is the first time in a while that I’ve traveled without my laptop, and the photos are quickly piling up on my camera. While I’m so excited to share them, it’s also nice to just live in the moment and put off the reliving for when this incredible experience comes to a close.
So here’s a little iPhone shot in the meantime, of the ever-beautiful Río Celeste as we saw her yesterday. 💙 #PuraVida #CostaRica
