Migration Report Week 6 (November 26th- December 2nd)
419 Birds and 7 Bands
For Fowl Feathers 2018-19 season-to-date, we have bagged 2,856 birds.
In Week Six, Fowl Feathers bagged four hundred nineteen (419) birds and seven (7) bands. Field Mallards continue to be strong with 46.54% of our Week Six harvests being ducks, which is now our largest percentage of harvest since inception (Week Five was prior at 46.20%). Week Six was enjoyable and made for favorable conditions. Many snow showers with snow accumulation and plenty of rainfall. A total of 1.05” actually. Snow covered tillable fields produced hungry waterfowl for our Members to enjoy. Limits for Canada Geese and Mallards improved week-over-week as less hunters showed producing a better average bird per hunter increasing the average by 0.15. We are 63.01% of total birds ahead of 2017-18 seasons placing the 2018-19 season projection to 6,179 total birds bagged.
Week Seven has started off with a blast and should continue into today (Tuesday), but the sun will bring afternoon and evening feeds with no wind movement. Taking a five-day rest to prepare equipment might be the plan in order. 📷 | @⠀
