I’m having an “Instagram vs. Reality” moment and need to share:
This past Saturday, I led a group of the #FitCityFam on a 3 mile run through #Chicago. It was the perfect day, we were pacing well, and I was pleasantly surprised with my endurance level. I was smiling through it all while sharing with you on our stories🤳🏼
But behind the smile, I was grimacing. I hadn’t run that far in over a year because of some knee pain that creeps in around mile 2. On Saturday, it didn’t creep in. It full-on exploded in pain, and has persisted ever since. It hurts to go down stairs, walk my dog more than a block, etc.
Sharing this for three reasons:
1. People don’t always share the pain on this highlight reel of an app. But we like to keep it real as much as we can, so here’s to #honesty
2. I am truly amazed by the effects of my session at @thecryobar today. I just walked my dog for 30 minutes and couldn’t feel any pain. #cryotherapy decreases injury recovery time and I definitely believe it. Let us know in our DMs if you’re interested in trying it!
