The frequencies they use with this particular material in the article referenced is 1.011 terahertz or 1011 GHz. Those frequencies are easy to block and attenuate even with tinted glass or salt water.
Frank De Lucia, a physicist at OSU has talked about how a 1 terahertz signal will decrease in power to 0.0000002 percent of its original strength after traveling just 1 mm in saline solution. Maybe a saline water feature down all sides of the house would be a good idea?
Just to be clear because the post talks about 5G and then the article refers to terahertz... 5G isn't going to use terahertz (1000 GHz) signals BUT the FCC IS opening up higher frequency bands in the higher microwave (24, 28 GHz) and some millimeter wave bands (37, 39, 47 GHz), and then also allowing more saturation in the RF and microwave ranges that are already being used.
It's going to be detrimental outdoors in wide open spaces with these higher GHz bands, but inside the home or in a yard or on a hike protected and surrounded by thick forests we'll actually be better off with the higher frequencies rather than 200Mhz up to 6GHz. The worst part about 5G in my understanding is the added saturation of the existing frequencies...even though it all is detrimental and a big experiment" @brianhoyer
