Grey salty slush collected itself and changed every time a car passed by on the hidden road. Shallow puddles, the size of chihuahuas, filled pot holes spontaneously. Hats, scarves and boots fought through the cold and steam emanated from cracked and impenetrable lips. Skyscrapers, offices, condos and apartments blocked the barely there sun, framed the sad blue sky, or reflected the winter’s indifference. A nap was due to an afternoon of tears, which had streamed down a young lady’s face. She had shut her eyes at 5 o’clock and hoped to feel better when she woke up.
