This year I learnt to give myself time.
Time to recover, unwind, de-stress; time for self-care.
This time, last year I worked three jobs without giving myself to recover. Pushed myself to the gym because I thought that I was doing the right thing for my health.
The past few weeks I made my feelings my priority.
If I knew I was too mentally and/or physically exhausted, from either school or work, I’d pass on the gym to prevent putting more stress on my body. For example, ever notice when you’re stressed, your traps & neck get tense/super tight?
Now I’ve recovered.
The past three days I had killer work-outs, all at different gyms (shout out to my faves @ @ @my) - & it’s all thanks to not putting my body & mind through more stress.
But never forget to surround yourself with people who are supportive and bring out the best in you.
In spirit of the season of giving, give to yourself. ♥️
