SHOULD YOU LOSE FAT OR BUILD MUSCLE? BY @antoniomazzottafitness 💪🏻 . I’ve got a few messages lately people asking me if they should start dieting or bulking first. . So let’s dive into that topic for a moment. . When it comes to deciding which route you want to take the guidelines for men are between 15-20% and for women between 25-30% from my experience and from others. Once you are in between or even above, you should start thinking about going on a cut. . Also, if you are looking yourself in the mirror and you are not happy with your body fat level anymore, go on a cut. Same goes if you are overweight or skinny fat. . On the other hand, you can start your bulk when you are between 8-12% (for men) and 15-20% (for women). . If you don’t hold too much fat but are not toned either, there is no way for you to cut. If you want to tone your body, you need to build muscle first and then cut.👊🏼 . Last but not least, if you are skinny (most of my audience) with not a lot of muscle I definitely recommend you bulking up first, even if you need have to sacrifice your “six pack” for a few months. .
