The past 3-4 weeks have been horrrrrible! Idk if I’ve ever been in so much pain in my life 🤔 That’s a lie, breaking my arm was pretty painful. But this may be second. 💁🏻‍♀️ It’s taken a few different oils to help my back and muscles calm down, and I think I may have finally found the perfect combo for relief. 🙌🏼 After an insane night of tossing and turning and NOTHING helping (I even tried putting a pillow under my pelvis) I got up, put some OrthoSport massage oil in my hand with a few drops of Cool Azul, and wow! I was finally able to relax and fall asleep. 🤗 After I left that combo at home today, I luckily had the cream in my purse. Thank you, Jesus!!

snackin on a rice cake for the first time in a long time ! but after this i am def bringing them back ... they are the perfect snack for anything savory or sweet ! 👍🏻 . . . this one specifically was a @lundbergfarms brown rice cake topped w banana + berries + shredded coconut + chia seeds + @rxbar vanilla almond butter ✔️ this was so delicious and the almond butter definitely put it over the top ... it was even better than i thought it would be and i ate the rest right out of the packet ! 😊😂

Most of us have our own story around memory challenges but many people do actually age very well as far as brain health is concerned. Shake up your routine A LOT! 💫Stay connected to your close people and others (yes, even we introverts need some connection 😉). 💫Use scents to stimulate different parts of the brain - natural scented plants in the home/garden and experimenting with essential oils. . 💫Cultivate a mental gym practice - read, learn new skills (gross/fine motor) and strategies to improve your memory. Try brain training puzzles and programs ~ research is mixed about this one but they can definitely complement all the above strategies. . ➰ I estimate that I have this formula 70% handled so there is def room for improvement and that gives me hope. Coconut Collagen Vanilla Latte Proteins Balls on the blog 🥥💪 made with @coastprotein Check out the blog for full recipe and my answers to “what the heck is unmodified potato starch?” and why I’m obsessed with gut health! I love making these balls instead of buying packaged balls or power bars because I know that they are packed with only the best ingredients without the added fillers, preservatives, syrups, gums, stabilizers etc. You just can’t go wrong when you eat REAL FOOD. Check the goods 👇 . WET (prep first) 2 Tbsp organic chia seeds + 3 Tbsp water 3 Tbsp Organic fine ground coffee + 1/2 C boiling water 1 C or roughly 20 small dried dates + covered in boiling water 2 Tbsp organic virgin coconut oil DRY 1 C mixed nuts (I used almonds, walnuts, macadamia) 1/2 C Unsweetened shredded coconut 1/2 C Coconut flour (bought this at my fav @foxyfarmmarket ) 3 Tbsp Collagen protein powder 3 Tbsp @coastprotein vanilla protein powder 1 Tsp pink salt 1 Tbsp unmodified potato starch (added prebiotic fibre, see blog post) 1 Tbsp Vanilla bean powder Directions: boil a pot of water and soak your chia seeds, dates and coffee as directed. Place all of the dry ingredients into the food processor and pulse until nuts are in small pieces. Drain the dates; chia seeds will have formed a thick paste. Add wet ingredients except coffee to processor, pulse on low while slowly adding coffee mixture (grounds+water). Roll into 1″ balls, dust with a small amount of coast vanilla protein and place in fridge or freezer for firming. Lunch at my desk today, but despite its unfortunate appearance, this is definitely #notasaddesklunch lunch. I tried out @howsweeteats sheetpan sausage and peppers (super easy recipe, btw) as part of my meal prep this week. Made with AmyLu’s bison polish sausage and @thenewprimal’s mustard BBQ sauce, I added a handful of baby potatoes we grilled over the weekend. For the office, I packed a @stasherbag bag full of @organicgirl baby spring mix and mixed it in after I warmed it up. Holy ISH! So good!

Meal experiment: 🤓 Mince, chickpea and lentil burgers on a salad of spinach, cucumber, tomato and lettuce with spicy apple chips (that's right, apple . I've been playing around with different flavour combinations and trying to be more creative in how I incorporate more vegetables into my meals. This is recipe test 1, which tasted incredible. 😋😋😋 Burger: 50g mince, 30g ground chickpeas, 20g softened red lentils. Seasoned with salt, pepper and garlic. Mix well and grill for 25 mins Chips: Chopped apple, tumeric and mild chilli powder. ✨MEAL PREP✨😋 I really love roasted veggies, and they are always so easy to make. Step 1: wash veggies. Step 2: cut & place on pan. Step 3: add avocado oil (it has a higher smoking/heat point so no oxidative stress). Step 4: bake at 350 degrees for about 20 minutes. Boom! . . This is such an easy way to get in a ton of nutrients in one meal, and have leftovers for the rest of the week. I'm all about easy and convenience in my day, but I am also about packing in the most nutrients in every meal. Try and see how easy it is to eat healthy. What do you make time for? What fills your cup, yet leaves you wanting more? ⁣ ⁣ I make time to read! I always have a book in my purse, a couple options beside the bed, in the office etc etc... just 20 minutes here and there! ⁣ ⁣ I used to be a Netflix binge watching queen 👸🙋 after a bender on the sofa with a new series I never felt refreshed, entertained, enlightened, satisfied, or thought provoked - I felt quite the opposite. Disatisfied, manipulated, bored, numb, anxiety ridden (for avoiding real life responsibilities). ⁣ ⁣ Something happened 🤷‍♀️ Some shift in me. I do not have time for it. No form of Television, media, movies (eek even music, with the exceptions of instrumentals and nature sounds) can hold my attention or be an enjoyable experience. I can't even get into BB!!! 😱What, who am I? ⁣ ⁣ I also got over my completion complex with books and have almost a dozen I am reading and/or listening to at the same time 🌿🌈✨💡⚖️ #readingisfunkids
