We are back!!!! And oh how I have missed you!! 10 days is a really long time to be off social media! So here’s what I learned:
1. One of the main reasons I did this was to show my kids that you CAN live without it! I’m kind of a walk the walk kind of mom and I can’t ask them to do things that I’m not willing to do. I’m still breathing, life went on, I didn’t check myself into rehab, I survived, so can they.
2. I have an awesome support group on Insta...from the people who follow me to people I follow. Social media doesn’t make me feel bad about myself or feel depressed. I missed seeing beautiful families outdoors and hiking, so many beautiful children with DS and other abilities, women in the outdoors, people that inspire me, my friends. I missed seeing your beautiful stories! So I learned that I follow amazing people!
3. Ok I did have a little more time with my family which was good😜
4. It’s not easy standing up for what you believe. Yeah I got some flack for doing this, for being a “blind follower”, doing something a lot of people thought was pointless, but guess what? Don’t care. I feel great and know it was the right thing to do. Obedience always brings blessings!
So happy to be back and share our adventures!! 📷: @
