Little Island Brewing Co. . When we think of beaches we think of the sun, the sand and of course the barbecue. Specializing in beers and barbecue comes a restaurant next to Changi beach, Little Island Brewing Co. Stepping into the vicinity of the restaurant one could smell the prominent charcoal grill, serving up dishes grilled whole chicken, pork ribs,suckling pig as well as seafood paella, just to name a few. However I was rather disappointed that the food were mostly precooked and left under the hot lamp to keep warm hence it was just lacking flavors that that could not be found in precooked food. The seafood paella we had was rather on the drier side and prawns were very mushy, suckling pig was much better, having a decent crunch to the skin but the meat itself could be more tender. Moving onto the beer part of the restaurant,it was really innovative how they have a “pay as much as you drink” system. You get your prepaid card topped up with however much money you wish, go to the tap of your choice, tap your card and pour as much beer as you want. The amount charged to your card would be the amount of beer you dispensed. They even dispense ciders, cocktails and juices each at their individual price points. I felt that this was a very creative way of having customers try their whole range of craft beers(made from their own microbrewery) without paying the full price of a pint of each beer. .
