He wrote this 👇 - ⭕️HOW TO GRIP THE BARBELL⭕️ - ✅The first grip is called the "Overhand Grip" which is the most common and most instinctive way of gripping the bar. Ask any newbie to lift the bar off the ground and that's how they pick it: both hands face the lifter aaand yeah, dat's bout it. This grip is typically not the strongest, because when the bar starts becoming heavy, it can slip off your hands very easily.. however, if you train your grip enough, you can still develop a very strong double overhand grip. - ✅Hook Grip: aka RIP to your thumbs in case you're a newbie to it. You basically double overhand grip the bar, locking your thumbs between your index & mid finger. It's by far the strongest grip, very commonly used in Olympic Lifting aswell. The only problem with it is that it typically hurts when you try it out. How to make your thumbs not hurt that much whilst grippin' the bar this way? Practice, practice, practice. - ❌The Noob Grip: Now, obviously I’ve invented the name, and I called like this because most newbie trainees don’t really know about locking & holding the bar in their hands. Why is this bad? 14-14. It hardly looks like I was working but I declare I was tired!!! Today’s circuit was: 1️⃣ V-ups 2️⃣ Kettlebell swings 3️⃣ Squat and throw (my fave) 4️⃣ Russian twists 5️⃣ Dips We did 3 rounds of 5 exercises where we worked for 40 secs and did some kind of cardio recovery for 20 secs. I opted for burpees one of the times...😳 I posted some footage and when I tell you it was hilarious!!! 😂😂😂. The camera woman thought she was the trainer and got the same side eye I give everyone else...I even side eye myself so it’s not personal!

MEAL PREP! I managed to score 3kg of tomatoes for $2 at the markets yesterday, so making my own #whole30 compliant Marinara Sauce (there's so much I needed two big pots to cook it in LOL), made up 1.5L of Vegetable stock, beef Curry in the slow cooker, and once that's done I'm doing a chicken curry in there. Making some more of my breakfast egg muffins once hubby has finished with the oven (he's making all of our sons snacks, recess and lunch food for the week).. we've had quite the productive weekend and I'm feeling positive about the week ahead! Meal prep done ✔ I made three lunches, prepped three dinners and put together three breakfasts. I also prepped some veggies to have with my favourite dips at the moment, which is @colessupermarkets roasted pumpkin and dukkah hummus and quark, which is a smooth amazing cottage cheese that I get from @aldiaustralia and mix with the ranch @mingleseasoning I get alot of messages asking how I have managed to keep the weight off, how I lost the weight, any advice I have to give and so on (I am always happy to answer!) But I am no expert! Weight maintenance is just as hard (if not harder) than weightloss and I struggle with it everyday. Anyway, the two pieces of advice I give each time is preparation is key 🔑 Even just prepping your snacks and having a meal plan for the week, it helps sooooo much! The other piece of advice is to snack on vegetables and eat a rainbow of them 🌈 So anyway here is to having a great week 😀

Raspberry & Pistachio Protein Bites Cal 88 C6.1 F3.7 P9.6 40g Frozen Raspberries 90g Vanilla Protein Powder (bulk nutrients) 1/4 cup Raw Oats 50g Raw Cashews 1 tablespoon Organic Honey 1 tablespoon Water 20g Raw Pistachios -Blend the pistachios in a food processor to form a crumb and put aside to coat the balls later. -Blend the cashews in a food processor to form a crumb and place in a mixing bowl. -Soften the raspberries in the microwave for 45 seconds on high and then stir to form a jam. -Add all ingredients, except the pistachios, into the bowl and mix patiently till all combined and forms a moist crumb. Yes, you can still be working on your fitness & enjoy pizza 🍕🍕🍕 _ Foods are not inherently "bad" or "good". Should you eat an entire pizza by yourself every day? Do it & make a documentary so we have can have something comparable to "Super Size Me" in 2018. _ Okay but really. You want to enjoy pizza while putting on muscle or losing fat. It's possible and can be accomplished. The end all, be all is that in order to lose weight you need to be taking in less calories than your maintenance amount. You can (and should, on occasion) fit pizza within that goal. It's good for the mind, soul, annnd taste buds. _ To summarize the tips: 🍕1. Thin crust pizza. Save the excess carbs you'd get from thick crust. 🍕2. Dab the oil off the pizza. Again, this is excess fat(calories) that isn't necessarily for a great tasting slice. Also, you must actually dab when doing this as well 💃🏻 🍕3. Eat pizza in moderation. Don't eat the box by yourself. *additional tip*: try drinking a glass of water before starting to eat or eat a salad (w/ low fat dressing *cough*-no ranch-*cough*) prior to eating the pizza. 🍕4. Save your calories for the Main Event. We all know what the Main Event is here 😏🍕 🍕5. Eat pizza after you banged out a nice, long, intense....workout session. For example, after a big leg day where you got a lot of reps in would be a great time to get a little bit of excess calories in, in the form of 🍕. Your body uses a lot more energy during a workout like this & also needs more calories in the recovery process. _ PS does anyone remember when Michael Scott from The Office kidnapped the pizza man (who was under 18) & kept him hostage 😂 _ Try these tips out when your future self is going for your weekly pizza run 🏃🍕 _

Dinner tonight. The @budgetbytes naan I made the other day has been topped with garlic aioli, Spicy Chicken Patties from @familyfoodonthetable, and then topped with my quick pickled onions for which you can find a basic recipe from @budgetbytes. Served with dressed greens and veggies. Best thing I’ve made in a long time! The chicken patties are delicious and really aren’t that spicy ( the spice level can easily bed adjusted). I did add some smoked paprika to the mix. Smoked paprika makes everything 10x more delicious in my opinion. I love the fact that the chicken patties have zucchini hidden in them which helps keep them from being too dry. I’m so glad that this recipe appeared in my Facebook feed, and I will definitely go back to Family Food on the Table in the future to search for more healthy recipes.

🍕Day 14 weight cut +0.1kg(.22lbs). 81.4kg(179.4lbs). Moving average -0.3(0.6bs). 81kg(178.5lbs). - 🦊Including the moving average now. Daily numbers gonna become a pure emotional roller coaster if it keeps jumping up and down by 0.5kg(1lbs). - 🦁Week 2 felt like finding the groove. Scale weight wise I don’t think I moved. No progress, yet no weight gain either. - 🐻Workout I feel a vast improvement. I’m closing into the weights where I left off a month ago. Feeling stronger, able to push harder. - 🐨Mirror check I feel I’m getting leaner. I compared day 1 vs day 13 pictures. Difference is super minor. But when I look at the mirror solo it seems a bit more. - 🐯Reason for today’s scale gain? I know I over snacked yesterday. Expected this. But also showed me that the over snacking translated to a full powered workout session. So as some of you know, I have been losing weight through a combination of things. Calories. Intuitive eating. And slightly carbs. Calories and carbs are not a bad thing! They fuel your body! 😍 When counting calories, if you count a deficit straight for too long it can actually slow your metabolism. To prevent that, eating a bit of extra protein and having a once to twice a month “refeed” can help your metabolism from crashing or slowing. My refeed for this month is today. 😍 I love going out to eat and honestly I was AFRAID of McDonalds for the longest time. I’m enjoying a meal without guilt. I know one burger won’t hurt my progress as one salad won’t make me skinny. 🥗 A calorie is a calorie. Be it from 🍪, 🥜, 🌶, 🥔, 🍕, 🍗, or other. If we eat less than we burn in a day, we lose weight, if we eat more, we gain weight. THATS IT. Point blank, period, the end ✌🏻. - 🧐 So if you can eat anything and still lose weight, why would anyone eat healthy? Well, there’s the thing. While technically you CAN eat nothing but junk and still lose, it is very hard. Less nutritious “calorie dense” (junk) food has high amounts of calories, while giving you little sustenance. You get to eat less, it doesn’t keep you as full, and you get hungry again. Eating like this is much harder to stay in a calorie deficit. - 🤯 “nutrient dense” foods, on the the other hand, are just the opposite. They provide tons on nutrients, low amount of calories, keep you full, and feeling good. Filling your diet with lots of these makes it much much easier to keep your calories in check and not over eat. Fruits, veggies, and lean meats fall into this category 👍🏻. - 😩 So why tell you you can eat anything, if you can’t really eat anything? Well, the point is moderation. You can eat lots of junk, but it’s not sustainable. A good rule of thumb is the 80/20 rule. If 80% of your diet is made up of wholesome, nutrient dense foods, then it doesn’t matter if the other 20% is made up of junk/calorie dense things. - 😮😬 So, find what works for you. It’s all about sustainability in the long run, so eat healthy, but don’t feel bad about fitting in the foods you love (I sure don’t!) - 🤭 Still confused?
