Foraging around Lonsdale Street for breakkie and saw a hustling and bustling cafe amongst the quiet streets.
I decided on the RYE breakfast board consisting of toasted rye (but of course!), soft boiled egg, butter, hard cheese, citrus jam and a charred ruby grapefruit. Absolutely delicious. .
So simple. Fantastic bread giving you an earthy canvas, then layer it how you like; creamy savoury egg, salty butter, bitey cheese, sweet jam, then clean each bite off with a segment of grapefruit tang.
Coffee by Five Senses and beautifully prepared by the barista. Props by the way with a perfect Rosetta and each coffee with its own milk art. And yes, the coffee was brewed very well, balanced coffee with no hint of over extraction or cream saturation.
