When I woke up this morning after a less than restful night sleep, I wasn’t sure we’d make it through the day without me losing my mind a bit. And the thought of making it through school today? Yikes. But here we are. It’s four o’clock we made it through all of our lessons, they’re playing, the babe is down for a nap, and I’m about to fold some laundry to a favorite podcast and take a breather.
The outcome isn’t always the same, but there are ways I can make a shift in my day to better serve my little tribe. My favorites (and what I did today) 👉🏼 popped some peppermint + orange in our diffuser, got myself some water (errrrrry morning before I eat anything), brewed some tea, did a little at home yoga (pop in my stories to see what I applied beforehand) because back pain is no fun + it’s relaxing, listened to a podcast while drinking some tea and making my babies some food, then did my devotional while they ate. I honestly think if I hadn’t done those things I probably would’ve been a little more grumpy today (or a lot). Mamas, I cannot say enough how important it is to give yourself some room to breathe and fuel your soul. Take the extra 10, 20, 30 minutes or an hour or whatever time you can and fill your cup so your can give your babies (family, friends, husbands, etc) the best that you have for that day.
