Happy Wednesday everyone! Spending my day working from home so I had time to make a thick stack this morning! Pancakes have become a 1-2x per week thing and they really are so satisfying. I try to have bigger meals at breakfast and lunch so I’m not starving at the end of the day. I think that’s where people run into trouble most of the time (late night snackers I’m talking to you). A breakfast full of carbs & protein and a lunch full of greens & protein is typically my go-to! . I used @birchbenders protein pancake mix and added in some chia seeds for fiber. Topped with blueberries and some organic butter🤤.

Hmmm... It looks like the guy with the Oreo problem also has a cereal problem. 😂😂 Fall brings out the predictable pumpkin spice flavors, but the Halloween flavors are fun too. I liked the pumpkin spice frosted flakes way more than I should have. Honestly, it's a giant marketing ploy. Just add pumpkin spice (cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves & allspice) to your typical foods and there you have the problem spice version 🎃 Getting your fix on the Halloween cereals is harder because those actually are unique flavors, especially all the "monster" cereals. You could add marshmallows to Apple Jacks or Froot Loops, sure, but Count Chocula only shows up once a year. Buying food items in bulk lets you capture the season's tastes, but creates brand new problems. Fuel. Ya know, there are few things in life as good as starting your days off with a Whole Foods based breakfast. Carbs, if you eat them, that are nutrient dense and don’t spike your blood sugar. Fats that fuel your brain and are loaded with B vitamins, omega 3 fatty acids and provide good energy. Proteins that are complete and bio available. . . . In this case, a typical breakfast for me is 2 pasture raised eggs cooked in grassfed butter, mixed greens drizzled in extra virgin olive oil, salt and lime juice and sweet potato. A little bit of MCT oil for some exogenous ketones. . . . On day 4 of my elimination diet (Whole30) and I feel like myself again.

The thought of having to go to the gym to do this kind of training is probably the reason most people don't do it . I certainly wouldn't want to get out of bed to go and run on a treadmill and feel like shit and be out of breathe for an hour! . Walking is just as effective, but you will obviously burn more calories running for half an hour than you will walking for half an hour . BUT.. . If you enjoy walking and it doesn't make you sweaty and horrible and its something you can stick to most days, then do that . Take the stairs and park further away from places you need to be and increase your NEAT as that makes up the majority of your daily calorie expenditure . If you don't like doing intense cardio and its putting you off going to the gym.. don't do it! . Cardio is not the magical component for weight loss . Like any other movement you do, it burns calories and the less calories you put in your mouth and the more you move, the more weight you will lose

DUMPLINGS ARE LIFE 😋🥟🙌 been having them literally everyday in Beijing and have no regrets (need to catch up on all the ones I missed out on in Australia... 😂) They are all delicious, warm pockets of love and nourishment!
