Good morning, some of my latest musing -- light! I know I wouldn't be the first artist and designer to be constantly fascinated by light. Think film genres like film noir, the thrill of the house lights going dim just before a live performance, and of course shadows, and dappled light play from the sun ⛅. I've been experimenting with areas of my abode (also my studio) where the best light hits at certain times of the day. Maybe it's because I grew up doing musical theatre, and originally had eyes on set design when I studied interior design just out of school. Also studied architecture photography amongst all that with drama, light, and space feel very natural. So now it only seems fitting and so me, to explore these techniques for styling products with cues from dreamy and dramatic still life compositions reminiscent of Juan Sánchez Cotán, Willem Claeszoon Heda, Juan van der Hamen, and then a pop art still life by Tom Wesselmann! 💥 My roots are very much in performance and art, both feed my soul and inspire a lot of what I do. Thanks to many hours spent at @, and lessons from my favourite contemporary space @ 🎭🎨 I feel very grateful. Bravo Melbourne for housing some incredible visual culture opportunities! Get amongst it folks!
