Today’s comes from one of my new favorite accounts, @. They make cocktails while procrastinating on assignments, which I can easily relate to. Can’t wait to try this one out...
Today's drink is called the Abbey, it's very light, fruity, and easy to drink. Evidently, this a very orange tasting cocktail, thanks to the juice and bitters, so if orange is your thing then this is the drink for you. The fruitiness of the Lillet pairs excellently with the orange juice while the gin serves to cut down the sweetness by a tiny bit. Overall, it has a lovely fruity flavour with a nice hint of gin.
I always associate orange based cocktails with brunch because of the Tequila Sunrise and the Screwdriver. However, this cocktail is so much more tasty than your average brunch cocktail and is really in a field of its own. So, next time you're out for brunch maybe consider ordering an Abbey instead.
