I reached Dover in the early afternoon, I dropped my bags at the new smart hotel and hurried my way to the White chalk Cliffs, considered as area of outstanding natural beauty. I climbed them very fast for I thought the visitor centre might be closed by the time I’d arrived to actually discover there was no such thing in the point google maps directed me 😕. By the way, up there I could glance at the beautiful scenery; the port, busy with ships coming and going to and from continental Europe and also travelled by so many cars...it was underneath my feet. I could stare at the ocean and picture the french coasts at the other side.
Turning eastward, I could see Dover castle, its walls and towers and when it began to get dark I climbed down the Cliffs, went shopping and eventually dine and sleep in my room.
I left Dover the next morning, enjoying the west Cliffs view as I travelled by train to London St. Pancras...
