Back at it after taking a week off from the gym traveling the country. This week break was quite necessary for my body as I can pretty much count on one hand how many rest days I’ve taken since December...At first when I left for my trip I was concerned about taking so many days off in a row, but 3 days into my trip of no lifting I realized it was exactly what my body needed. A lot of my tight tendons and achy joints are feeling night & day better now...Sometimes the body just needs rest...Keep in mind though I’ve been going hard as a mother fucker with hardly any rest days since December. Don’t use “oh my body needs rest today” as an excuse to skip workouts. That’s just called being a pussy. It’s important to be able to learn and read your own body and know when to push it and when to back off a little...but to be honest, 99% of the time you need to be pushing. GO HARD OR GO HOME!...Feels good to be back in the gym moving some iron again after a week of rest, recovery, vacation, beer, and candy. 😎
