1. Totally catching a cramp in my back in this second picture... my face was trying to hide the pain I was in. 😅 #fitchickfail
2. I’m 10 lbs heavier with a 100% better mindset in the 2nd picture.
In the first picture I knew I wanted to start my own fitness business. At the time, I thought that meant that for me to be successful I had to have the leanest body possible. I thought there was no way I could have the business that I wanted and not be the most ripped that I had ever been. This idea ruined my mindset. I was in the gym for hours a day, I was trying to be super restricted with my diet, I was trying to do as much cardio as possible, and on top of that, spending hours a day planning my business. Now there is nothing wrong with all of those things but in my case I had a negative mindset and was not happy. So there was definitely a problem.
Being super restricted led to days where I would go crazy and eat everything I was craving (which living in Austin meant lotsssss of food 🤭) then I would feel guilty and go spend 2 hours at the gym. I let the fear of not succeeding, not being able to support myself, and disappointing my family stress me out more than I had ever been stressed before.
This time taught me so many things about myself and about life:
▪️Find a lifestyle that is sustainable for you and makes you happy. Being miserable is not worth it.
▪️If restrictions and extremes don’t work for you then don’t have them. Focus on a balanced, flexible lifestyle that allows you to be happy and still reach your goals.
▪️Do not fear failing. Each failure that I’ve experienced has taught me way more than any success ever has. If you have a passion that you believe in, then go for it.
▪️Forget the expectations and opinions of others. Trust me, those who love you will always be there for you no matter what happens.
▪️Love yourself, be confident in who you are, believe in your abilities, and trust your passions. Then you can put all that you have into serving others and making the world a better place.
I believe that being your best, happiest self allows you to help others to be the same. DM me if I can help you! #LPFIT
