Happy Sunday, friends!
After a very busy week I am hoping to find some time for rest this afternoon.
Yesterday I really wanted to enjoy the scents of the season so I dug through my fridge and cupboards and found everything I needed for a delightful stovetop potpourri!
After just a few minutes if simmering, my home smelled like Christmas morning! 🌲 🎁
Here’s how I made it:
I added 2 cups of water to a pan, a few cinnamon sticks (1-2 is fine!) an orange or two minis cut in half, whole cloves, cranberries ( I used 1 cup) and a sprig of rosemary. Pine would also be great!
You’ll need to refill the water intermittently as this mixture simmers. Make sure you watch it because you don’t want all the water to evaporate or it will get too dry and burn on bottom.
You could also double it and add everything to a small crockpot with the lid off.
This would be so fun to make on Thanksgiving or Christmas during your parties. You can also bag these ingredients in a ziplock or jar and give them out to friends and neighbors. Just tell them to add the water. Happy Holidays everyone! ☃️
