Sending you sunshine 🏖 even though its raining here in Hong Kong 🌧
I love colors. It was one of the reasons why I started my IG page to share my paintings and eventually, posts on fashion and myself. I'm quite timid irl, but I wanted to share more abt myself online ❤ I liked the quick aesthetic feel that IG brought compared to other social media platforms. But as time passed I got too focused on the numbers in my IG, the follower count and the likes. Sharing stuff became a daunting process of "do they like me?" and "how can I stand out?". I'm also not a witty person at all, so it was definitely hard to go against the fun and quirky girls sharing their content in IG.
I became annoyed at these thoughts I had, because they were quite petty and trivial. But IG today (and many others) is like fighting for the lottery, trying to reach for the masses, and seeing people online as a mere statistic only.
When I first started my IG page, I definitely told myself not to become like that. But I definitely lost myself from comparing my content to others too much. I have to find my voice and reignite my passions, and make a balance between life and online stuff. I'm gonna take every chance I get to complete my projects, paint and have new things in store ✨ can't wait to share more stories and little daily quirks with you all!
