Remember my previous post about missing my 6am class and ending up working out at the beach? Well this is what I did! I ❤️ abs because they fix my posture. Also, when my core is strong I feel a big difference of how my body moves, etc 💪🏽 (Btw, music by Chambao, one of my favorite Spanish flamenco bands 🔥) @chambao_oficial .
Things to remember: While doing ab work outs never hold your breath (you want to inhale on the easiest part of the move, and exhale on the hardest part) 🌬 IF you are not feeling the burn on your abs, touch them! This helps the brain and body know which muscle they ought to be using (I know right, the brain is amazing! 🧠) **thank you acetylcholine neurotransmitters 🤓. Moving on, it’s quality over quantity. If you can do 3-4 solid, amazing crunches, do that! Don’t force yourself to do more if you can’t. You start becoming sloppy and you stop using the right muscles 🙃 Best for last... tweak your diet. We ALL have abs! But it’s the fat layer around our waist that hides them (Oh Fat, you bastard! 🤬) Cardio, AND a healthy/healthiER diet are key, seriously. Lots of protein, veggies and liquids! 🥑🥦
Tip: Don’t get too caught up on the amount of abdominal exercises, focus your time on getting your diet right first. Once you do, the ab work outs will show results quicker and you’ll be going around with crop tops... even during the winter... because you’re just that bomb 😏 .
