Announcing Mrs. Pennsylvania America Titleholder of the day👑
Our Titleholder of the Day is Nikki Johnson-Huston, Esq., Mrs. Montgomery County PA America 2018!
On April 11th, Nikki Johnson-Huston was a panelist as part of the Navy Yard Goes Red Event in support of the American Heart Association Go Red For Women Campaign. The event featured a panel of executive women speaking on the topic of “grit and perseverance.” Nikki discussed her journey from childhood poverty and homelessness to becoming a successful attorney and advocate for the homeless.
Nikki is honored to compete in the Mrs. PA America Pageant because of their commitment to not just recognizing the beauty and accomplishments of married women but their focus on the impact of these women in improving their communities. Nikki had been an advocate for the homeless for more than a decade and believes that all of us doing a little can have a large impact and she felt that the Mrs. PA America Organization represented the values that were most important to her as a woman and community advocate.
One fun fact about Nikki is she loves attending country music concerts
Nikki's platform is Solutions to Ending Homelessness with a special emphasis on women, children and veterans. Nikki created a free smartphone app called Donafy in 2015 to help people in need find nearby social services and to allow concerned citizens to call an homeless outreach team if they see a homeless person on the streets who needs help. Nikki is committed to this issue because of her family's experience of living on the streets for almost a year when she was nine years old and she hopes to inspire others struggling with homelessness to know that they can have a better life.
