When it's dessert beer time, it's always Omnipollo time! This time we're trying their mysterious Gimbagagomba, a granola IRS...
Pours a deep black body with a light carbonation and a thin brown foam. 🔍
On nose, it's sweet already and the granola is clearly dominating with honey and vanilla, followed by chocolate, light coffee and a slight touch of peppermint.👃
On tasting, it's a moderately sweet and syrupy mouthfeel with a lot of flavors blending together: some bitter chocolate and coffee, caramel, honey, peppermint, a bit oaky, then ending on a big vanilla and roasted granola mix with a bitter coffee/vanilla aftertaste. 👄
Overall it's a great pastry stout, the aromas are strong without being too sweet, and the ingredients marked on the bottle are well delivered without feeling too artificial. It's not boozy at all, on nose and or tasting, despite weighting 11% 💣. It's also worth mentioning it was brewed at De Molen 🙌 so I guess that helped!
Good job on this one @omnipollo
and @molenbier , this one is clearly not a miss!
