The day I was diagnosed was a relief. I can focus on controlling the disease & not let it beat me down on days like this . ••
The pic above is me today, after a dicky tummy & treating a 5 day headache & hip pains, I am swellllled up and waiting on this flare up to pass. You wouldn’t think either by my eyes, that I had a solid 8 hours sleep last night 🙈 ... but - This is how I live now. ••
This is me accepting that while it’s not nice to be in pain, at least I know what it is & that it will pass. I feel drained & like I have a non existing immune system anymore with all these aches & pains. -> The painful bloat could very well be a part of my life too, as it is thought that I may also have IBS. I am now on a stricter gut diet, (meaning no more lattes 😭 ) . Less dairy. *bright side, captain morgan & brandy is still okay 😂👍🏻* ••
So, I need to record a food diary & symptoms daily for 2 months. This is to help them help me, spot & eliminate the triggers to hopefully get my life back on track 😅🙈 .. ••
Where did it all go wrong 😅
It all began with a rash & feeling constantly weak. Sleeping enough yet always exhausted, joint pain and migraines that sometimes kept me awake through the night.
What’s the hardest part of acceptance?
I / We / Coeliacs , must now avoid even microscopic traces of gluten for the rest of our life or risk serious long term health complications. O & this 9 month I’m ready to pop soon ‘bump’ 🤪 ••
Pro Biotics and Peppermint tea and some sleep is tonight’s plan. ••
Also, as I’m new to all this, @ is so inspiring & so positive, I’m glad Lottie was suggested to me to follow. She’s a beaut ❤️ ~ Tara G
