“My journey to the skies started a bit differently than most—it started with a terrible fear of flying. Every year as a child, my family would head to Walt Disney World via train because of this fear. After a 24 hour train ride from New York City, we would find ourselves in Orlando. In 2003, when I bought my sister Celine Dion’s perfume for Christmas, I was entered into a raffle to win front row seats to see Celine in Las Vegas, as well as have a meet and greet with her before the show. After winning the raffle, I was faced with a decision: either not go to meet Celine Dion, or take my first flight from NYC to Las Vegas. I cried all the way up, and all the way down, but I can happily give Celine Dion credit for helping me get over my fear.
Upon joining American Airlines in 2017 as a flight attendant, I really didn’t think that I was going to love the job as much as I do. In the short time that I have been here, I have had the pleasure of meeting and working with some of the most amazing people in the world. There is nothing like the feeling of forming a bond with a fantastic crew on a 3-day trip, so much so, that you are sad to walk away from them at the end of the trip. From the folks that you fly with once, to those you look for on Crew Lists, to the people you buddy bid with, it truly is the PEOPLE that have made this job the most special for me. If we have ever shared a jumpseat or a layover, you know who you are, and thank you for your friendship. And if we haven’t—then I look forward to the day that we do!”
