So I started #crossfit recently. I have been doing #hiit workouts for a very long time but never such a focus on lifting. Absolutely love it. Love the feeling of pushing myself to the maximum and knowing that every session I am not only getting stronger physically but also mentally. This was my first proper attempt at #pushpress #pushjerk & #cleanandjerk #technique needs some extra work but overall pretty pleased with my effort. Meal prep success tonight! Made this pad Thai bowl: rice noodles, cabbage, carrots, jalapeño, cilantro, red pepper, radishes, green onion with a peanut sauce. Holy cow 💥💥💥 is it amazing!! Added some chicken seasoned with garlic & onion powder, ground ginger, and cayenne pepper (but it's not necessary if you eat vegan/vegetarian, the noodles/veggies are amazeballs with the peanut sauce alone). I always have my ears in podcasts at the moment I swear I didn’t put my headphones on just for my shameless selfie 🤣 I digress... . Today I went to my first fundamentals session @innerfight - a programme all new members need to go through to learn the main moves involved in #crossfit, how the classes run, fitness testing etc. . I feel like a beginner again and I love it - why? Because to better yourself you have to accept that you are only efficient in what you have practiced repetitively. I’ve realised that my goals, whilst they still stand (squat I’m looking at you) aren’t motivating enough alone at the moment because I don’t value them enough, they don’t excite me. I train mainly on my own and I find this environment difficult to truly push myself in. As a result I’ve become a bit frustrated with my typical style of weightlifting, I had a great month of training but now I’m feeling a bit uninspired. This isn’t me saying bye to the way I usually train completely but my periods of motivation for it are becoming less and less and I just need a challenge to sink my teeth into that’s totally new. These may be famous last words if the conditioning I was put through today is anything to go by 😱. Tedy sečteno a podtrženo, jen po absolvování kurzů ON-RAMP víme, že človek, který se nám svěřil, může na našich vedených lekcích bezpečně cvičit a tím posouvat svůj výkon dál. Saturday workout. Jamás he publicado mis videos con la intención de enseñar movimientos porque apenas llevo 8 meses en crossfit, Los publico solo para mostrar mi progreso diario, en que a pesar de ser tan solo meses, de entrenamiento, mi cuerpo ha cambiado, mi fuerza y hasta estado de ánimo, no entiendo esa gente que comenta cosas criticando o corrigiéndome técnica, en realidad esto es tan difícil que a pesar que muchos llevan años haciéndolo aún tienen cosas por corregir; yo soy una mujer con tres hijos, que trabaja y atiende su casa y aún así se levanta a las 4 am para poder entrenar a las 5 am porque no hay otro espacio, sé que no tengo ni idea de técnica, pero aún así estoy dando mi milla extra por mantenerme en forma y saludable, algo muchos no hacen, además tranquilos que tengo buenos entrenadores que saben lo que hacen y hasta dónde cada uno de nosotros puede llegar. Por favor hay que dejar de estar viendo el lado negativo en las cosas y empezar a ver el positivo. So many days I find myself so incredibly frustrated that I am not back to pre-pregnancy weight. I have to remember where I was a year ago! In 22 months I have lost a total of 60lbs. After a very rough pregnancy with our son. I was so miserable. Depressed, I had to learn how to manage a declining metabolism. I realized I wanted to be fit not fat or skinny. I wanted to be healthy. Over the last year I learned so much about nutrition, health, mental health, determination, and fitness. After a year I see such a difference, after 5 months of crossfit I feel such a drastic difference. *COMPLETELY UNEDITED PHOTO* The redness is real!!! This is my first week back at CrossFit after 5 weeks off from illness, exams and a holiday. It feels HARDER than when I first started. Holy fuck is this week brutal. I have a shoulder injury (physio booked on Monday) so trained only legs and core today and started getting sharp knee pain from squatting - quads forgot how to work. I wanted to beat myself up about having a shit workout and scaling so much but I'm trying to keep in mind that I'm injured, it's my first week back and I've done great just going and getting back into it even with the anxiety of not being as good as I was 5 weeks ago. Every challenging workout like this just gets me closer to being back into the swing of it and aiming at my full potential. Då var det torsdag igen vilket innebär gymnastikpass! Det är ett av mina favoritpass eftersom vi drar ner tempot lite och får köra mycket skill-work. Alltså får vi tid till att jobba på de svagheter man har. - Idag fortsatte vi jobba med toes to bar och sakta men säkert så går det framåt. Mitt i klippet kommer coach @manspettersson fram till mig och påpekar att jag är nära på att få till en kippad TTB, men att jag måste kicka till sista biten för att nå fram, vilket jag inte tänkt på. 😅 Och se där, det blev en kippad TTB eller två tillslut! 😁 Sådana key-points är verkligen ovärderliga! Still sweating after I took myself out of my comfort zone and went to my first ever CrossFit class. I had planned to go to @mjd_smith talk (completely inspiring FYI), come home to my own gym, do my own workout, get on with my day. I actually nearly walked out after the talk because I felt really unsure about everything, even down to where should I stand. Then I had a word with myself, after listening to Marcus talk how could I possibly not take that small step to better myself TODAY. . So I did it, surrounded by some wicked shoulders and abs I compared myself for a minute but it only took two lovely ladies (one who is due to give birth any day I mean WOW 😍) to invite me into their group to give me the confidence to throw myself into it. . I know how to lift, I could do most exercises bar a couple I was hopeless at but it’s got me excited. I think I need something that takes the focus completely off aesthetics. We will see but all I know is I’m buzzing of the vibe of the place right now. I boutght new laundry machine yesterday and it was arrived today!!! I turned on it and let it wash two gis and two rushgaurd!! It was well washed and really clean! No smell from rushguard!!!! 1 month into CrossFit. Today I set my 3-rep deadlift max at 75kg which I’m Dead proud of. (Get it!?) I’d never have trusted myself to be able to lift that before but since I’ve learned the technique I know my butt and legs are the ones who should feel the brunt of it and those have definitely increased in strength and size (!) in the past month.
