The last in the series of conversations on the ongoing exhibition,
Power Show II: The God-Fathers Are Not To Blame which opened on 1st October 2018. The premise for this is to expand on the idea of the “people’s voice” which is a central part of the exhibition’s and framework. After the last conversation session which held at Oga Bello newspaper stand Ile-Ile Bus stop Ketu, Lagos on the 28th of November 2018, we have decided to bring the people’s parliament to our incubator space, as an extension of the audio installation (MUMU LP).
The first part of this Two-Part conversation will be between Oga Bello – A newspaper vendor and Ayọ̀ Akínwándé @ – the artist and will focus on Oga Bello’s 20 years presence at the
bus stop and the relevance of the audio material in relation to the current socio-political discourse in Nigeria which is highlighted in the ongoing exhibition.
The second part of this program will be a round table session on the subject of politics, art, and voices. Panelists include @ @ @, conversation will be moderated by @... -
