What if, instead of taking your weight gain/weight loss resistance as a sign you’re doing something wrong, you took it as your body’s way of telling you there’s more going on? What if, instead of only looking at your diet to change your body, you paid attention to your whole being? What if, instead of restricting calories, you focused on nourishment? What if, instead of beating yourself up for “failing”, you practiced grace, kindness, and patience with yourself? •••
All of these questions are what I chose to embrace between the first and second pic. I was SO sick in the first pic. My body was crying out for help. It was not something I could just diet and fix as it had been in the past. Fast forward 2 YEARS of intense healing in both my body and MY MIND, to the current pic. This is not a “before and after” of weight loss. This is about complete and total health gain to become balanced. This includes hormones, toxicity, gut health, mental well-being, stress, letting go, sleep hygiene, movement, EVERYTHING. As a result, my body changed to be at its comfortable place after 2 YEARS of healing. In that time, I chose to enjoy my life and let it do its thing.
A few steps I took to get from point A to point B:
•Real food with LOTS of food. More than I’ve ever eaten in my life. And no rules. Just what feels right. • Functional lab testing. This is how I found that I was dealing with mold toxicity, hormonal imbalances, gut issues, food sensitivities, etc
• Being happy regardless. I stopped weighing my happiness based on how I looked in my jeans (pun intended).
•Lifestyle: Sleeping as much as I needed, strength training/movement to my capacity, limited alcohol/sugar/toxins, etc
•Detox: ALL the detox tools. Sauna, liver support, binders (specifically for mold treatment). •••
I hope that at the start of the New Year, you can choose to make it a year to find complete health instead of chasing a number on the scale. If you’d like help getting started, I’d love to be part of your team with the Fat Burning Female Project! One day enrollment is 1/1/2019 and we start as a group 1/4! Link in bio.
