I was excited to see Deer Spirit this week, I feel as though her presence has been a long and needed time coming. Deer asks us to be gentle with ourselves; to show ourselves compassion, and love, and grace. Deer reminds us that we are quick to do this wth others, but are slow to do this with ourselves. And so, this week, Deer is asking us to bestow upon ourselves the same generosity, empathy and kindness that we bestow upon our siblings, parents, and best friends. How can you be softer with yourself this week?
In the Northern hemisphere we are entering the colder, darker, wintry months. And while often Snake Spirit comes to awaken our magic, during this time it is okay if she is a little more dormant. It is okay if she needs to rest. Our Magic is always at our fingertips and I would always encourage you to find ways to put it to use. However, sometimes there is a need for us to internalize that Magic, to allow it to go within and do the work of healing our souls and hearts and bodies. So right now, if Snake is curling herself up for a little slumber so that you may rest and rejuvenate and reflect on things, there is nothing wrong with that.
Tiger Spirit dwells in our shadows, waiting for the perfect time to come out. Tiger comes out to help us work wth our shadows, the dark underbelly of our true self. She helps us to own that side of ourselves, to challenge it and to stand in our full and beautiful glory. Trust that when Tiger comes out, she comes out in full force. Together, you and Tiger can ride the somewhat bumpy yet always expansive journey that is the week ahead. You have nothing to fear in challenging to rise above the lingering shadows and be your best, most authentic self; Tiger will help show you the way.
Happy Magic Monday, friends.
