The day after Autumn Equinox the altar in The Healing Space was refreshed to reflect the energy of the season.
Altar spaces are set with careful attention to the qualities embodied by each item so all together they support a specific intention. Acting like a beacon radiating energy into the world, they are powerful places of creating, places of devotion to ones practice, places of healing and harmonizing ourselves. At the very least, for us more left brained folks - a visual reminder of an aspect we would like to experience more of.
I tend to this large seasonal altar in the space where many gatherings and sessions, held by a variety of practitioners, occur in. By keeping to themes consistent with the natural world it quietly supports all who attend in attuning to the medicines each direction of the medicine wheel brings us and aligning us always with mother earth, pachamama, gaia.
For now we are begining the processes of allowing things die away. A letting go of dynamics that hold or limit us from greater well being. Of releasing that which their time is coming to pass or has alreadycompleted - whether we want it or not. And this is where this altar comes in. Bringing the gentle awareness of deer. The strength of stag. The soft sensitivity of rabbit. Owl's ability to see well in dark times. There is a nest for us to shelter our hearts in. Seashells from the depths of the ocean - with water being the element of emotion, so present right now in the rains and swollen rivers, and since Fall can often stir up uncomfortable feelings & seasonal affected moods. Water sits in the West on the medicine wheel of my cultural & spiritual lineage and points to Autumn Equinox.
So if you gather in this space, know the altar has been set for You, to support you, and help align you in any areas you need to. And if you are far, know too that You can tap into this energy stream and receive the same. While many altars are very personal or hold space for a few during a short time - this one is for the wider community 🙏
