I have returned to Death Valley National Park for the next three months. It's always good to be back in Southern California. We kicked off our series of DV photography workshops with a wonderful workshop of clients last week! We are looking forward to our next workshop in a few days, as we have teamed up with the Death Valley Natural History Association for a photography workshop, "Death Valley Through Your Eyes." It's always wonderful to collaborate with other organizations, especially one that leads amazing educational tours and seminars in one of our favorite places on Earth. We will be mainly here in the valley for most of the winter, but we will also be visiting Anza-Borrego in Janary for a workshop. We also plan to break our stay here up with a February winter visit to Yellowstone and Jackson Hole with some photog friends, and a visit or two to the SoCal coast for dolphins and ocean photography.
This is a new image from the dunes here. Death Valley and I have quite a history together, one that I hope to write about someday. Coming back here year after year is like visiting an old friend. The familiarity of the lines and curves of the dunes embrace me each year in a hug of comfort.
I will have limited service at times, so please forgive me if I don't respond to questions or comments right away! :)
