Hey guys! It’s that crazy time of year again, and I want to help you stay aligned with your goals to recover from binge eating. So we are doing a daily tip to assist you to rock your recovery goals 💥 . Tip #1: Eat more! . Yes you heard me right. This is NOT the time to try diet during the day before you head out on the town for your Xmas party. That will only lead to your body seeking out food later on (especially after some drinks!). The best way to manage binges and to also maintain weight during this time is actually counterintuitive- eat more! . Start by eating every 2-3 hours. Add in a bunch of proteins and fats to keep your blood sugars stable and your hormones balanced! My go to’s are: boiled eggs, nuts, tuna and avocado on brown rice, stir fried veggies with tofu or chicken, grain bread toasted with cottage cheese and banana, roasted chickpeas. No DIET foods! . If you want to partake in a couple of drinks, red wine or a vodka soda is the best options. Plus did you know: red wine has so many antioxidants and nutrients? A little in moderation is not going to hurt you. Again, if you try flat out restriction, you may find it backfires, so lovingly give permission so guilt and binges don’t creep in. . The greatest satisfaction is seeing yourself go beyond boundaries that you once gave yourself. Roughy 2 weeks back into working out after being out for 5 weeks with 0 exercise and I can honestly say it’s been one of the hardest things trying to get back into my rhythm. On the left was a guy who made poor decisions and had little self control. I weighed in at 223 lbs and felt like complete crap. The picture on the right was taken today. 40 lbs lighter weighing in at 183 lbs and feeling the best I’ve ever felt. It’s officially been 6 months since I decided to change my life. It’s been 6 months of making healthy choices and changing bad habits. There were many days I didn’t want to eat right, get up early, or put in time at the gym. I pushed through it and made it happen. It’s not easy. If it was, everyone would do it. But, I’m here to tell you... If you want change bad enough, you will make it happen. I often feel embarrassed by the version of me on the left. It’s even tough to post that picture now. But, I’m also grateful that I can constantly use it as motivation. Nothing is impossible. It just takes dedication and focus. It took me time to find my groove and figure out a lifestyle that worked for me and my hectic life. So, I’m always happy to answer questions and help others along their journey. I get lots of people reaching out to me about intermittent fasting, meal prep, and recipes. Thank you for all your questions and love. Happy #mealprepmonday! This what an easy prep! Just how I like it! 3 hrs, and I was done! How? I use one baking sheet for each meal, put it in the over at 450 for 20 - 25 minutes and success! This is what a typical day looks like for me minus breakfast and one snack! Gotta eat right if you want that stomach flat flat!
