On Monday, Dijon Animal Save hold its 6th vigil:
Today, we were once again in front of Beaune's slaughterhouse to bear witness for the innocent animals on their way to slaughter.
A huge THANK YOU to all the people who once again attended (sometimes coming from far), to support us. Without you, nothing would be possible!
It was the first time we saw that many trucks - about twenty, most of them carrying a lot of animals (from a dozen cows to a hundred pigs)!
We unfortunately did not manage to stop a lot of them, but we were still there. For them. ❤️
We also had a quite few interactions today. First, with a farmer who didn't wanna stop last time on his way in, but talked with us on his way out; today, he stopped to let us say goodbye and take footage of the pigs in his truck.
Then, we had some very long talks with people working for and with the slaughterhouse. Even if we don't agree, and probably never will, it was a very good opportunity to talk and learn more from one another. Thanks to them for taking time to chat with us.
Until all are free, we'll keep fighting. Being up at 2am to hold a vigil, watching them in their eyes full of terror, having to say goodbye to them and not being able to help them more. It is not easy, but it's our duty to do so. For them.
