What I eat in a day...
One of the questions I've been getting the most about Plant-Based Beginners is "what am I going to be eating?!"
I thought I'd ease your mind by showing you a sample :)
1)Wake up with Lemon Water
I like to start my day with something warm and hydrating. I find that warm lemon water is very easy to drink.
2)Green Drink once hungry
I do a green juice daily, but you could do a green smoothie instead. Some days I do both. I use green drinks to 'up' my veggie intake in an easy-to-do manner. I like to keep things light and fresh in the morning, so I have loads of energy to get work done!
3)Mid-Morning Protein Shake or a Fat Burning Latte
If I start with green juice, and don't have a green smoothie, a lot of times I'll have my fat burning latte, or if I'm running hot, I'll have a cold protein shake.
4)A Big (Kale) Salad for lunch
I love a good kale salad. The trick is making sure you massage the kale with some lemon juice or salt, so it allows the kale to break down and soften, otherwise you kinda feel like a horse trying to eat it LOL ...it gets old fast!
5)Snacking on more Veggies (+ Hummus)
When it comes to thriving on plants, the more you can use your intuition the better. So many eat out of habit, or emotions. We'll dive into this in Plant-Based Beginners, but I highly recommend slowing down before snacking and asking yourself if you really need something, or if it's just out of habit.
6)Dinner - Fully Loaded Pizza
Dinners on a plant-based diet can be anything, but I do love me some pizza! You can still have pizza on a plant-based diet (and lose weight!). The real question is... Pineapple on pizza?! #ISayYES!
7)End the day with a Shot of Aloe
And most nights you'll find me in the kitchen with a shot... of Aloe Vera that is ;)
