A couple of weeks ago I posted this very scene as it was being lit by the setting moon. The pre-dawn image was very cold and dramatic. In that post, I mentioned I also had a shot from sunrise. Well, this is it!
This is the exact same composition, from the exact same morning. It was taken as the sun had just broken the horizon, less than an hour after the moonlit shot. The warm light transformed the scene completely.
It's a rare treat to get two images of the same composition, from the same day, and have them look so distinctly different. I can't honestly say I've ever had that happen before.
It might be kind of fun to print them both and hang them side by side. A little night and day, fire and ice effect. What say you?
