Tonight will forever hold sweet memories! We celebrated our anniversary by making a fancy hamburger dinner and watching our wedding video. We explained to the kids that on this day 12 years ago, God set our family in motion and even then, God had dreamed up each one of them, though they wouldn’t be born for several years. Near the end of our ceremony, I noticed Jack was crying and I asked him what was wrong?? 😦 He said “these are happy tears because I love you and daddy so much!” 😭😭😭😭 #meltme Then during the reception part of the video we danced and Jack cried more tears into my belly! I think little lightbulbs of love and the gift of FAMILY went off in him tonight. I am so thankful we brought our kids into this celebration tonight. And Kate was just enamored with my dress, and the part where “we kissed to become husband and wife.” 😂😍 We ate dinner and talked about how fun it was to watch and Jack said tearfully “it just makes me so happy,” and then again when I tucked him into bed tonight - he thanked God for giving him a loving family. 😭😭 Marriage and raising kids can be HARD, but the depths of LOVE are revealed in these relationships by enjoying what God has given us! Watching my kids experience deep love and thank God for it makes my heart soar! I could not wish for anything else in the world than the husband I have and children to love and raise in the tangible and rich, love of God! Family is God’s design to allow us to experience both His love as father (and mother) and as children. Of this, I’m certain! #memoriesiwillcherish #dontforget #12yearsstrong #happytears are the best!
