‼️ KEEP YOUR KITTIES INDOORS! ❌ I know a lot of people have indoor-outdoor cats, and argue that their cats get bored, or want to explore, but please, understand that you are shortening your beloved pets life expectancy by leaving them outside when there are predators occupying the same territory.
This is our backyard, and that is a wild coyote. This isn’t farm land either, we’re in a developed & populated urban area! But predators are smart, and they’re adapting to live amongst humans. This coyote is hunting, likely bunnies or rodents, since there are an abundance of both in the neighborhood. Its not playing, it’s trying to feed itself by killing prey. It’s a short stretch to go from snacking on a wild rabbit to the neighbors tabby. Not to mention the likelihood of this coyote carrying parasites (like fleas or ticks) or diseases (such as worms or rabies) that could be transferred to a house pet by them investigating a site of defecation, or even sniffing around where a wild predator has slept or left a half eaten meal. It’s not worth the risk! Our pets rely on us to keep them safe, and to know what’s best for them. I promise with lots of love, some toys for fun, and your company, your pets will have just as rewarding a life indoors. #kittendorm #backyardjungle #coyote #wildcoyote #natureupclose #coyotesofinstagram #keepyourpetssafe #keepyourcatsinside #keepyourcatsindoors #dragonfosterkittens #kittencam #webcam #livestream #losangeles #burbank
