At the Women's Business Networking Group in Wimbledon yesterday, the Speaker engaged us all in some interesting activities. One was to select a photograph from some cards spread out on an adjoining table. We had to select one which 'chimed' with our business or our own 'personal brand' in some way. Then in pairs we shared what we had chosen and why.
At first I was floundering as none of the images jumped out at me. I nearly chose the cross-section of a massive tree showing all its concentric growth rings. I loved the pattern and the sense of growth and progress. But not the fact that it had been cut down. I was just about to settle for the photo of a crescent moon emerging from a dark and cloudy sky. But then I saw this one. I chose it without question because DurgaMata is a warrior-goddess. In all I do I am seeking to raise consciousness and bring what I call God's Victory closer both in my own life and the wider world.
When we were handing the cards back I was able to quickly photograph a few of those other members of the group had selected.
The last two photos are an elephant cushion. Beata and I stayed at the venue (Made in Italy) an hour longer and together we created a much-improved flier for my workshops.
