Super yummy Saturday dinner. Not everyone likes it, but it is really very good: calf's liver with mashed yellow beet/kohlrabi/potato, string beans, heirloom carrot and mushrooms. Topped with a homemade red wine sauce and a side of rocket and radishes. Soo many veggies again 😍. A huge looking meal, but it was the first meal since breakkie and after cleaning the entire day, we were really hungry 🤤. When prepping and cooking liver, it is important to get rid of the membrane around the liver. For starters it is most easy to cut the liver into strips (don't press down too hard, the meat is super tender), lightly cover in cornstarch and sautee carefully. The liver should not be cooked for too long. Add salt and pepper only when the liver is already slightly browned from all sides. I made the mash by precooking one medium potato, 1 medium yellow beet and 1/2 small kohlrabi, adding some milk and leftover hummus (not necessary, you could add cheese e.g), salt, pepper, garlic. Then blitz it until the desired texture. I precooked the beans in the same water like the other veggies (saves water and energy 😉) and sauteed them with the mushrooms and some creme fraiche. I wanted to try out a new sauce idea I had. Made it with onion, garlic, chopped 'soup veggies' (carrots, leek, celery), broth and red wine. I sauteed everything, let it reduce and pressed it through a sieve. Officially three weekends in a row where I haven’t been home. Having conference weekend, a gals trip to Lennox head and splendour bender. It’s thrown off my training, my meal prep and my routine out the window and off the 12th floor balcony. I’d love to say I stuck to my guns and still chose healthier options, and only drank kale juice. But that would be a down right lie, I’ve had more cheese than one humans digestive system can take, I’ve drunk more alcohol than I dare say and I’ve missed more training sessions than I would like to think (but mate have I done some serious dancing) Life is about balance, and the last three weekends have been a bloody awesome time. But I am so ready to get back to my groove, find that sweet routine and get this body sweating (at least for tomorrow please avoid lighting an open flame when I train 🔥🍸 #prayforme )

#MeatlessMonday calls for a meatless version of Arroz a la Cubana! It's amazing how food reflects one's culture. Did you know that the Peruvian variation uses hotdog instead of ground meat (which is what's usually found here)? I didn't until I searched it around five minutes ago! Also, what's Arroz a la Cubana without the arroz (rice)? Literally half of this #wonderbowl is filled with cauliflower rice; it still counts as rice, right? ♡ MEATLESS ARROZ A LA CUBANA Cauliflower rice For the "meat", mix the ff: 🌱 Tofu (I used firm) 🌱 Black beans 🌱 Mushrooms Corn (I used purple corn) Carrots, diced Raisins Saging na saba (plantain) Fried egg (it's absent here since no one's around to eat the yolk for me) In lieu of tomato sauce (I ran out), I seasoned it with cayenne pepper, black pepper, and sea salt #wanderlittlegirl

They’ve been fed the perfect lie. - But the truth is fitness should make you better, not miserable. It should enhance your time on earth, not consume it. Instead of listening to Johnny juicehead and becoming an obsessive gym slave, adopt a minimalist approach to fitness: - 3-4 resistance workouts per week - Increased daily activity: go for walks, take the stairs, help the elderly cross the street - Balanced, nutrient-rich diet: The foods you enjoy (No Tupperware chicken) in the right amounts for you - Never obsess over minutiae And that’s that. Now go out there and get yours! 🚀

У кого выросла цветная капуста и не знает что с ней делать, то вот рецептик Ингредиенты: -500 гр цветной капусты -1 яйцо -50 гр сыра -чеснок, перец, соль по вкусу -панировочные сухари Приготовление: 1 Капусту приготовит на пару. 2 Размять её в блендере 3 Добавить яйцо и сыр 4 Перемешать, сформировать шарики, обвалять в сухарях и выложить на противень 5 В духовку на 200 градусов на 25-30 минут Примечание: Для вкуса можно добавить каких либо специй.
