TQ Rating-7️⃣.5️⃣ With a name spelled so closely to its namesake, we figured we better check Tacko out. The owner probably wasn’t your 8th grade spelling B champ, but luckily the chef knows what he’s doing. We opted for the carnitas and carne asada Nick’s Way. Where our previous Nick’s Way tacos lacked, Tacko excelled. The additional hard tortilla brought that fresh and salty crunch amongst a mouthful of creamy guac. The pico was on point, the meats were tender, juicy, flavorful and the pinto beans were a nice touch.
They had A punch to hold up to the heavy quac laden taco but not THE punch that would really make these exceptional. The execution was very good with all components tasting 👌🏼 on their own but even better in combination. We’re HUGE fans of outstanding meat on our tacos but Nick’s Way is much more quac centric. If you’re a quac lover, Nick’s Way will leave you feelin some type of way and, thus far, Tacko is our go-to. Should we continue this Nick’s Way train or get back on the street style grind?
