My hubby made this super yummy cauliflower crust pizza 😋. While homemade cauli crust is easy enough to make, we have been buying a local brand @monicascookingnow (from @heinens grocery store). It’s all clean ingredients that I could make at home, but it’s nice to have a convenience food to go to on busy nights. We mince garlic and mix into some melted butter with oregano and basil for our sauce, then top with whatever yumminess we have on hand. My 5 year old commented “See, we don’t need Pizza Hut!” and he’s so right. 🍕🍕🍕

My Fat Salad: How do you eat your salads? For many years I ate dry boring salads or dressed them in salsa or lemon. I recently discovered that by not adding fats to my salad, I was depriving myself of many of the nutritional benefits you get from eating dark leafy green salads. You need the fat in your salad in order for your body to best absorb the nutrients from all the vegetables in the salad. The reason is that the vitamins and antioxidants you get from the greens are fat soluble, meaning they need the fat for your body to absorb the benefits. Research shows by adding healthy fats to your salad your body gains the absorption of: 1) More antioxidants! 2) Vitamin E - great for healthy skin and eyes. 3) Vitamin K - great for bone and heart health. 4) Vitamin A - helps maintain bone health. I now make sure I have healthy fats in my salads. In the form of wild salmon, extra virgin olive oil, avocado, a form of a nut, typically walnuts, almonds or cashews and sometimes even bacon. Since doing this I’ve noticed that I am much more satisfied after my meal and its lasting fullness! A great homemade dressing I often have available is extra virgin olive oil, balsamic vinaigrette, sea salt, and pepper. It’s delicious and addicting! Gestern Abend wäre es fast passiert. Ich war kurz vor einem Rückfall. Der Druck mich zu verletzen war so extrem hoch. Doch ich wollte nicht wieder schwach werden. Nicht, nachdem ich es 3 einhalb Monate so gut hingekriegt hab stark zu bleiben. Ich wollt nich wieder zurückfallen. Ich hab mir bewusst gemacht, was es bedeuten würde jetzt rückfällig zu werden, was das alles kaputt machen würde. Dann habe ich mich aktiv abgelenkt, hab fröhliche Musik gehört, einem Freund geschrieben und habe dann schnell versuch zu schlafen. Und ich habe es geschafft. Ich bin heute Morgen aufgewacht und war stolz, weil ich es geschafft habe, wieder einen weiteren Tag clean zu sein. Ihr seht also es ist möglich auch bei sehr starken Druck stark zu bleiben. Ich war so kurz davor. Früher hätte ich es getan, doch ich hatte den Willen, den Mut und die Stärke es nicht zu tun. Ihr alle könnt das auch. Macht euch bewusst, dass nur ihr allein bestimmt und entscheidet ob ihr gesund werden wollt. Ja, es ist keine Entscheidung krank zu werden, sicher nicht. Aber gesund werden ist (zumindest in dieser Hinsicht) eine! Roasted Veggie Bowl🥗 Doesn’t get more simple🤗 • When you don’t fancy spending too much time in the kitchen and just need to prep a quick but nutritious meal🙌🏻 • Roasting (leftover) vegetables is an easy way to make a little “veggie lunch bowl”🍄No dressing needed really as the vegs provide enough taste and moist in themselves - especially the onions.🤤 • 🌿Taste, nutrition and visuals on TOP if you ask me ! Also, this meal is high in volume but not very calorie-dense and contains just below 400 calories👌🏻 • Ingredients👩🏻‍🍳 ~300g Onion ~400g Mushroom ~300g Red bell pepper Cut the vegs however you prefer and roast them in the oven for around 15 min at 350 degrees (grill function). Entire portion = 387 calories • 👍🏻If you prefer you can easily divide the portion in two and eat half of it together with some good protein. Left over salad-ing for lunch 🍽 This one is super easy to make and super nutritious. Plus make extra and serve through the week 👌 barley, beetroot, edame salad with mint dressing. _ 1 cup (dry weight) barley, cooked 1 raw beetroot, grated 1 cup edame beans, lightly boiled 1 cup baby spinach, shredded 2 tbsp linseeds 2 tbsp pumpkin seeds Seasoning _ For the dressing 3 tbsp chopped fresh mint 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil 1 tbsp white wine vinegar A pinch of course Salt _ Whilst still warm, combine all of the salad ingredients together in a bowl and evenly disperse the beetroot colour. _ Combine all the dressing ingredients and use a pessel and mortar to grind into a pulp. _ Serve the salad, top with dressing and add goats cheese or other protein source is desired. _ See! Easy!!

🍩CINNAMON SUGAR DONUT HOLES🍩 I’m waking up bright and early this morning, but I had to share these healthy lil guys for brekkie this morning!! Me and my friend have a baking night tradition where we make some goodies, eat ice cream, then have an existential crisis!!😂🤦🏽‍♀️ Good for the soul and the tummy🤷🏽‍♀️🤰🏽 All of our recipes usually are a completely fail, but this was our first time making a healthy sweet treat, and they turned out looking like ugly lil meatballs but tasting like delicious cinnamon CLOUDS!!🤤 Did I eat the majority of them?? Yes. Was it worth it??? YES!! But I do wish I saved some for this morning😭 This is my last day at home before I leave tomorrow, so I’m doing LOTS of last minute errands and appointments!! I’ll be out and about allllll day, but after fueling up w/ a workout and eating some oats, I think it’ll be a good day😜 Enjoy your Thursday morning!🤩 . . . dEATS: DONUT HOLES: 1/4 cup + 2 T of @pillsbury coconut flour + 2 small mashed bananas + 1 T of chia seeds + 1 T of ground flaxseeds + 2 T of @chobani nonfat greek yogurt + 1/4 t of pure vanilla extract + lots of cinnamon + OPTIONAL: 1 T of @enjoylifefoods chocolate chips CINNAMON SUGAR COATING: 1 T of @wholesomesweet organic coconut sugar + 1/2 T of cinnamon // Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a bowl, mash your bananas, then combine the rest of your ingredients. In a mini muffin pan, grease or use muffin liners, and roll the dough into little balls, placing them in the pan. Let them bake for about 20-25 minutes. Once ready, take them out and let them cool. Combine your coconut sugar and cinnamon in a dish, and roll the cooled donut holes in the mixture. Eat and enjoy! This made 11 donut holes for me🌟 MACROS (1 DONUT HOLE): ~43 calories: 8 C 1 F 1 P

My favorite part of training is how much you get to eat afterwards 😂 My maintenance calories on a normal day would be about 1700-1800 but when I work out it shoots up to 2400! That's also the benefit of strength training over traditional cardio. To me it's much more enjoyable and rewarding and at the same time I find that it helps me lose weight wayyy faster. What form of exercise is your favorite?
