Do you know this woman?? If not you might wanna be friends with her on the internet. She is pretty real and when I feel like social media is driving me to change or not be me, I watch her and smile laugh and just be okay as I am! But she also loves food like me! Since being pregnant I have struggled with food - cooking for the kids and me and buying healthy stuff but them wanting other things then blowing the budget and returning to the shops multiple times! so thought that there is no better time to Get on board with the #ssmakefoodeasy challenge. I have not had great results following insta challenges but hey it’s 7 days and is about food (which currently is all I think about anyway) so I am really looking forwards to it! I am an all or nothing kind of girl! . I go all in and give it my best effort, but going hard for a long time has its’ consequences. . It is then that I find myself on the struggle bus, and the pendulum swings to the other side where I don’t do anything. . I choose to sleep. I choose to cry. I choose to let my choices of doing nothing take me down a dark hole. . My hardest struggle is finding grace and balance. . Balance in doing all the things required of me as a mom, teacher, coach, and wife. . And needing Grace to know when I need to slow down, to love myself in those tough moments instead of beating myself up. . This morning I recognized it. I was struggling. I didn’t want to do all the things. Even though those very things would have positively impacted my day. . First you have to recognize it. Then you have to ask for help! This morning I did that very thing. I asked for help and accountability from you and from the amazing ladies in my fit club. . We have to not be afraid to ask for help and support. We have to lean into each other instead of separating ourselves from the very thing we need. . I feel like I have conquered the day. I took a huge step in the right direction. 🍎 For the Ladies! Managing multiple roles is a lot of work isn’t it. Lol.. Mentally & physically! . As a coach and operating the meal prep side, I’ve really transitioned my outlook over the years. . Finding balance between finding time for yourself, making sure your children have the right shoes and jackets on.. lol..That’s a small example but trust me.. When you have to head back to school or change the plan.. It makes you a little nutty. (Not to mention the serious stuff) . All of these tasks can be overwhelming then fitting in physical activity & planning your meals? . This sounds very generic.. I get it.. It is. . Everyone has a different responsibilities and family settings/challenges but it makes it challenging to sort out and find time for self-care. . I know the usual concept is “Weight-Loss” & there is a season for that conversation but... . Activity & understanding food a little better actually gets you those results. . In reality, it’s essential for us to move at a pace we can handle. Adding changes that becomes progress rather than not making changes at all. . Change is also CHALLENGING . I’d much rather see progression then people giving up entirely. . I’d rather people feel more at peace mentally over time then feel the daily discomfort of not actually being nourished right or having energy to get through the day. . Those things matter. . I believe that we need to head back to the basics and just let go of this perfect concept and work on it the best we can. . It doesn’t look the same for everyone. One chocolate bar didn’t make me gain the extra 20+lbs I was carrying two years ago. And one chocolate bar isn’t going to make me gain it all back. . I do try to take really, really small bites and enjoy my treat. Because after this, I’m back on track for my day. And you can bet dinner is going to be filled with plenty of veggies (it is Taco Tuesday after all!). . What’s your favourite treat?

Manger à l’extérieur: Pour beaucoup, manger le midi implique quelques contraintes comme pouvoir rentrer manger chez soi ou le manque de temps pour préparer sa gamelle ou encore le fait de manger encore et toujours la même chose. Là le dilemme se pose. Faut-il faire un écart au fast Food du coin ou bien manger équilibré. Tout d’abord, il faut penser à son plaisir et ne pas culpabiliser. Ensuite prendre ce qui est bon pour vous et qui aura un impact positif et nutritif pour votre productivité au travail. C’est clair que des bonbons et un paquet de chips ce n’est pas le top pour la forme. Pensez également à votre digestion qui peut vous donner un coup de barre une fois le repas terminé. Voici en photo des exemples de nourriture que je consomme à l’extérieur. J’ai aussi ma petite préférence pour le kebab galette 🌯 moins calorique que le Kebab classique, moins cher qu’un Mc Do ou BK 🍔 et tout aussi nourrissant. Jutro ważna data, ponieważ 24.10 to Światowy Dzień Walki z Otyłością! 🙌🏻 Jest to problem tak powszechny, że możemy go już nazywać chorobą cywilizacyjną i wpływa na nasze życie w dosłownie KAŻDYM aspekcie. ☝🏻 Wystarczy wyjść na ulicę i dosłownie odrobinę obrócić głowę żeby przekonać się, że otyłość stała się już smutną codziennością. Liczby porażają - szacuje się, że obecnie ponad 640 milionów dorosłych na świecie jest otyła. Co ciekawe, w przeważającej części są to kobiety (w Polsce 30% kobiet i 20% mężczyzn spełnia kryteria otyłości!!!). Ale nie tylko dorośli - każdego roku liczba otyłych dzieci w Polsce rośnie o prawie 100.000 nowych przypadków! 🙀 Skąd się to wzięło? Zacznijmy może od najpopularniejszego wskaźnika, który umożliwia nam zakwalifikowanie danej osoby do kategorii otyłości - oczywiście jest to wszystkim dobrze znany BMI, czyli Body Mass Index. Przy wartości 30 i więcej możemy już mówić o otyłości pierwszego stopnia, a stąd już krótka i prosta droga do śmiertelnych powikłań. Jakie skutki ma otyłość? Trudno je nawet wszystkie tu wymienić, ale do najważniejszych należą: zwiększone ryzyko chorób sercowo-naczyniowych, cukrzyca typu 2, zwyrodnienia stawów, kamica pęcherzyka żółciowego, a nawet niektóre nowotwory... nie wspominając już o negatywnych skutkach dla psychiki takich jak odrzucenie społeczne czy depresja. 🤕 Udowodniono nawet, że osoby otyłe mają statystycznie niższe zarobki. Co jednak najistotniejsze w tym wszystkim, otyłość SKRACA ŻYCIE ☠️☠️☠️ I są na to twarde dowody. Skąd się bierze otyłość? Teorii jest wiele, ale tak naprawdę do końca nie wiemy, a dowodem na to niech będzie fakt, że nie wynaleziono do tej pory skutecznego leku na tę chorobę. Pragnę jednak podkreślić w tym miejscu, że najczęstsza przyczyną otyłości jest nic innego jak ❌NADMIERNA PODAŻ ENERGII❌, a w szczególności dieta bogata w przetworzone węglowodany, które stymulują wyrzut insuliny i odkładanie się nadmiaru energii w postaci tkanki tłuszczowej. Oczywiście są choroby, w których otyłość jest wtórna, jak np. niedoczynność tarczycy, zespół Cushinga czy PCOS. Niektóre leki, szczególnie psychiatryczne (w tym przeciwdepresyjne) predysponują do wzrostu masy ciała. ⬇️⬇

FOOD ON THE GO! Easy, customizable recipe to take with you for a snack or breakfast! _______________________________________________ Ingredients: ▪️~2 cups cooked vegetables (I cooked up riced cauliflower with onion and peppers) ▪️6 eggs ▪️6-8 egg whites (I use bottled egg whites from the store!) ▪️spices (salt, pepper, garlic, etc) DIRECTIONS: Preheat oven to 200c. Cook up vegetables as you like- just make sure they are cut in small pieces! I love them roasted in the oven or sautéed with a bit of coconut oil. In an bowl, mix eggs, egg whites and salt/pepper. Add cooked vegetables to eggs mixture. At this point you can choose to bake in a baking dish, or in a muffin tin for about 20-25 minutes.
