The white glazed bricks here go down a very narrow alleyway, while the red and black bricks are part of the curved wall of an industrial site.
These bricks may have not originally started off life together, but I was immediately drawn into this makeshift family.
The red and black bricks are younger than the glazed wall, and as you can see there is only a little weathering on them (and a little scratched graffiti). The white glazed bricks have had a longer and harder life, suffering with hairline cracking, small chips, and in some places the face has spalled.
Hopefully these two sets of bricks can continue to age together, and maybe they can help us understand that we can be fantastic and beautiful together, even if we are so different.
Find on Dingley Road (on the corner of Nelson Passage alleyway), EC1, London.
